Time‐Resolved Magnetization Switching Dynamics Driven by Orbital Torques

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Du et al. reveal nanosecond magnetization switching driven by orbital currents using time‐resolved Hall detection. The measurements separate domain nucleation from domain wall propagation and show that Joule heating strongly assists switching by lowering energy barriers.

Transverse Compression of a Thin Inhomogeneous Elastic Layer

open access: yesMathematics
A 3D problem in linear elasticity is considered for a thin inhomogeneous layer subject to transverse compression. For the first time, the effect of arbitrary vertical inhomogeneity is elucidated.

Asymptotic approximation of the norms of monomials in weighted Segal-Bargmann spaces [PDF]

open access: yesSongklanakarin Journal of Science and Technology (SJST), 2023
We study radial weighted Segal-Bargmann spaces and investigate the norms of monomials in these spaces.

Discovering asymptotic expansions for problems in mechanics using symbolic regression

open access: yes
Recently, symbolic regression (SR) has demonstrated its efficiency for discovering basic governing relations in physical systems. A major impact can be potentially achieved by coupling symbolic regression with asymptotic methodology.

Localized Temperature Monitoring in Mouse Brain during Light Delivery via a Non‐Planar Tapered Fiber‐Integrated µRTD Sensor

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We report a multifunctional tapered optical fiber integrating a conformal micro‐resistance temperature detector (µRTD) for local, real‐time thermometry during optical stimulation. The platform combines light‐delivery and temperature sensing within a minimally invasive footprint, enabling detection of sub‐degree cortical heating under representative ...

Direct Synthesis of High‐Valence Protein@UiO‐66 Composites: Linking Crystallization Pathways to Protein Encapsulation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This work reports a direct, biocompatible method to synthesize UiO‐66, enabling one‐step encapsulation of proteins without compromising crystallinity or activity. Using advanced in situ and ex situ techniques, the study reveals that proteins integrate concurrently with MOF growth, forming crystalline protein@UiO‐66 nanoparticles, and provide insight ...

Asymptotic resemblance [PDF]

open access: yesRocky Mountain Journal of Mathematics, 2016
Uniformity and proximity are two different ways for defining small scale structures on a set. Coarse structures are large scale counterparts of uniform structures. In this paper, motivated by the definition of proximity, we develop the concept of asymptotic resemblance as a relation between subsets of a set to define a large scale structure on it.

Rethinking Charge Transport and Recombination in Donor‐Diluted Organic Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Organic solar cells with 1–45% PM6 content in Y12 were studied to link structure and charge dynamics to performance. The conductivity follows a 3D percolation model without a sharp threshold. Donor dilution preserves the photogeneration yield, but limits the fill factor due to transport resistance losses.

Quasi-asymptotics and \(S\)-asymptotics of ultradistributions

open access: yesBulletin, Classe des Sciences Mathématiques et Naturelles, Sciences mathématiques, 1995
Summary: The notions of the quasi-asymptotics and the \(S\)-asymptotics at infinity are extended from the space of Schwartz's distributions to the space of ultradistributions. Some basic properties and the relation between these two types of asymptotics are proved.
