Asymptotic Results with Generalized Estimating Equations for Longitudinal data II [PDF]

open access: yes
We consider the marginal models of Liang and Zeger (1986) for the analysis of longitudinal data and we develop a theory of statistical inference for such models.

Asymptotic Separability in Sensitivity Analysis

open access: yesJournal of the Royal Statistical Society Series B: Statistical Methodology, 2000
Summary In an observational study in which each treated subject is matched to several untreated controls by using observed pretreatment covariates, a sensitivity analysis asks how hidden biases due to unobserved covariates might alter the conclusions.

Impedance of Nonelectroneutral Solid Electrolyte Interphases With Nanopores: A Theoretical Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Physical modeling reveals that often‐neglected non‐electroneutrality and nanopores in the solid‐electrolyte interphase (SEI) govern the impedance behavior. Under nonreactive conditions, the low‐frequency constant‐phase element (CPE) phenomenon can be attributed to the nonelectroneutral local conditions in the SEI.

A metric approach to asymptotic analysis

open access: yesBulletin des Sciences Mathématiques, 2003
Having a subset \(E\) of the normed vector space \(X\), the \(\varepsilon\)-enlargement of \(E\) is the set \(C_\varepsilon(E):=\{x\in X\mid d(x,E)0\) such that \(C_\varepsilon(E)\cap C_\varepsilon(F)\) is bounded. Moreover, the subset \(C\) of \(X\) is said to be a firm (outer) asymptotic approximation of \(E\subset X\) if for every \(\varepsilon>0 ...

The Conformal Approach to Asymptotic Analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
This essay was written as an extended version of a talk given at a conference in Strasbourg on "Riemann, Einstein and geometry", organized by Athanase Papadopoulos in September 2014. Its aim is to present Roger Penrose's approach to asymptotic analysis in general relativity, which is based on conformal geometric techniques, focusing on historical and ...

FOS3D: A Fluorescence‐Enabled Toolkit for Characterizing a Three‐dimensional Osteosarcoma Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
FOS3D describes fluorescent (F) osteosarcoma (OS) cells in a tri‐dimensional (3D) model. The study comprises three phases: development, where biofabrication parameters are tuned to achieve cytocompatibility and tumor‐specific mechanical properties in cell‐laden gelatin methacryloyl constructs; validation, where whole‐well fluorescence reading is ...

Structure and Asymptotic Theory for Nonlinear Models with GARCH Errors [PDF]

open access: yes
Nonlinear time series models, especially those with regime-switching and conditionally heteroskedastic errors, have become increasingly popular in the economics and finance literature.
