ABSTRACT Large deformations can become an important issue in induction heating applications, especially for structures with low bending stiffness, such as thin sheets. In such cases, thermal expansion induces not only substantial in‐plane stresses but also out‐of‐plane buckling, which in turn strongly influences the electromagnetic field configuration.

Asymptotic behaviour at infinity of solutions of second kind integral equations on unbounded regions of Rn [PDF]
We consider second kind integral equations of the form x(s) - (abbreviated x - K x = y ), in which Ω is some unbounded subset of Rn. Let Xp denote the weighted space of functions x continuous on Ω and satisfying x (s) = O(|s|-p ),s → ∞We show that if the

On the asymptotic behavior of solutions to nonlinear ordinary differential equations
We discuss a number of issues important for the asymptotic integration of ordinary differential equations. After developing the tools required for application of the fixed point theory in the investigation, we present some general results about the long ...

"On Approximation of the Solutions to Partial Differential Equations in Finance" [PDF]
This paper proposes a general approximation method for the solutions to second-order parabolic partial differential equations (PDEs) widely used in finance through an extension of Léandre's approach(Léandre (2006,2008)) and the Bismut identiy(e.g ...

Multidimensional asymptotic spectral analysis and applications [PDF]
This article adresses questions on localization and microlocalization in the framework of the so called (C,E,P)–algebras of generalized functions. We give new results on nonlinear properties of the asymptotic singular spectrum in the multi-parameter case,

Asymptotic solutions to a class of nonlinear oscillation systems
In this paper, we present an asymptotic method for the analysis of a class of strongly nonlinear oscillators, derive second-order approximate solutions to them expressed in terms of their amplitudes and phases, and obtain the equations governing the ...

Asymptotic Maturity Behavior of the Term Structure [PDF]
Pricing and hedging of long-term interest rate sensitive products require to extrapolate the term structure beyond observable maturities. For the resulting limiting term structure we show two results by postulating no arbitrage in a bond market with ...

Asymptotic Behavior of Solutions of Dynamic Equations
We consider linear dynamic systems on time scales, which contain as special cases linear differential systems, difference systems, or other dynamic systems.

Asymptotic scaling symmetries for nonlinear PDEs
In some cases, solutions to nonlinear PDEs happen to be asymptotically (for large x and/or t) invariant under a group G which is not a symmetry of the equation.
