Kolmogorov$\unicode{x2013}$Riesz compactness in asymptotic $L_p$ spaces [PDF]

open access: green
We extend the classical Kolmogorov-Riesz compactness theorem to the setting of asymptotic $L_p$ spaces on $\mathbb{R}^n$. These are nonlocally convex $\mathrm{F}$-spaces that contain the standard $L_p$ spaces as dense subspaces and include all measurable functions supported on sets of finite measure.

Uniform Attractors for Nonclassical Diffusion Equations with Memory

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2016
We introduce a new method (or technique), asymptotic contractive method, to verify uniform asymptotic compactness of a family of processes. After that, the existence and the structure of a compact uniform attractor for the nonautonomous nonclassical ...

Random Attractors for the Stochastic Discrete Long Wave-Short Wave Resonance Equations

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2011
We prove the existence of the random attractor for the stochastic discrete long wave-short wave resonance equations in an infinite lattice. We prove the asymptotic compactness of the random dynamical system and obtain the random attractor.

Asymptotic behavior for the semilinear reaction–diffusion equations with memory

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2019
In this paper, we consider the dynamics of a reaction–diffusion equation with fading memory and nonlinearity satisfying arbitrary polynomial growth condition.

Pullback Attractor for a Non-Autonomous Generalized Cahn-Hilliard Equation with Biological Applications

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis, 2016
In this paper, we consider a non-autonomous generalized Cahn-Hilliard equation with biological applications. It is shown that a pullback attractor of the equation exists when the external force has exponential growth.

Compactness and asymptotic behavior in nonautonomous linear parabolic equations with unbounded coefficients in $\R^d$ [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We consider a class of second order linear nonautonomous parabolic equations in R^d with time periodic unbounded coefficients. We give sufficient conditions for the evolution operator G(t,s) be compact in C_b(R^d) for t>s, and describe the asymptotic ...

A Note on Asymptotic Equilibrium for Fuzzy Differential Equations

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2014
The asymptotic equilibrium results for fuzzy differential systems GCP x′=f1t,x,y,y′=f2(t,x,y) are investigated, where f1t,x,y satisfies the compactness-type and f2t,x,y satisfies the dissipative-type conditions.

The existence and uniqueness of integral solutions to some nonlinear reaction–diffusion system with nonlocal retarded initial conditions

open access: yesJournal of Taibah University for Science, 2020
In this paper, a viability results for nonlinear retarded reaction–diffusion system with the non-local retarded initial condition are studied. The existence, uniqueness and global asymptotic stability of $C^0 $-solutions are investigated.

Characterizations of Asymptotic Cone of the Solution Set of a Composite Convex Optimization Problem

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2012
We characterize the asymptotic cone of the solution set of a convex composite optimization problem. We then apply the obtained results to study the necessary and sufficient conditions for the nonemptiness and compactness of the solution set of the ...
