Limiting Distribution of the Score Statistic under Moderate Deviation from a Unit Root in MA(1) [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper derives the asymptotic distribution of Tanaka's score statistic under moderate deviation from a unit root in a moving average model of order one or MA(1).

Functional Mapping of Neurodevelopmental Disease Pathways to Key Neurodevelopmental Processes Represented in the Developmental Neurotoxicity In Vitro Testing Battery

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Human‐relevant methods are essential for modern chemical safety assessment. This study helps define the capabilities and boundaries of an in vitro testing battery for developmental neurotoxicity by exploring its biological applicability domain. By linking neurodevelopmental disease‐related pathways to key neurodevelopmental processes, the work enhances

Asymptotic Distributions for Clustering Criteria

open access: yesThe Annals of Statistics, 1978
A set of observations is partitioned into $k$ clusters by optimizing a clustering criterion $W$. The asymptotic distribution of this clustering criterion may be determined simply in certain cases where the optimal sample partition differs negligibly from the optimal population partition.

Optimal Grazing Exclusion Duration to Enhance Soil Carbon Sequestration in Degraded Grasslands

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Across China, grazing exclusion reaches the national mean soil organic carbon recovery benchmark sooner in high‐MAP regions (> 500 mm), but recovery is much slower where MAP < 300 mm. Scaling this strategy to 70% of China's degraded grasslands would sequester about 1.52 Pg of soil carbon over 10 years—roughly 17% of annual global fossil‐fuel emissions.

All‐in‐One Underwater Quality Evaluation Metamaterial With Mechanical Robustness, Sound Attenuation, and Diffuse Reflection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this work, a bioinspired all‐in‐one underwater quality evaluation metamaterial, combining sound attenuation, diffuse reflection, and mechanical robustness, is proposed based on jumping spider locomotion and human skeletal biomechanics. Meanwhile, a CNN‑driven quality evaluation framework is established for theoretically dimension‐reduced ...

Decoupling Intrinsic Molecular Efficacy From Platform Effects: An Interpretable Machine Learning Framework for Unbiased Perovskite Passivator Discovery

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study establishes an interpretable machine learning framework that disentangles the intrinsic molecular efficacy of passivators from experimental platform effects—enabling unbiased, high‐throughput discovery of effective perovskite surface modifiers.

Sustainable Productivity Growth in Agriculture: The Role of Shifts in R&D Investments and Technology

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The objective of the paper is to evaluate the long‐term prospects of sustainable productivity growth linked to plausible assumptions on public agricultural R&D investments as the key productivity driver. Second, it investigates the role of changing R&D focus from yield maximization to input saving technologies (fertilizers and pesticides). The

Quasi-Likelihood Estimation in the Fractional Black–Scholes Model

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, we consider the parameter estimation for the fractional Black–Scholes model of the form StH=S0H+μ∫0tSsHds+σ∫0tSsHdBsH, where σ>0 and μ∈R are the parameters to be estimated. Here, BH={BtH,t≥0} denotes a fractional Brownian motion with Hurst

The Asymptotically Unbiased Prior Distribution

open access: yesThe Annals of Mathematical Statistics, 1965
In estimation of a real valued parameter $\theta$, using observations from the probability density $f(x \mid \theta)$, and using loss function $L(\theta, \phi)$, the prior density which minimizes asymptotic bias of the associated estimator is shown to be $J(\theta) = \varepsilon((\partial/\partial\theta) \log f)^2/\lbrack(\partial^2/\partial\phi^2)L ...
