Linear Versus Centred Colouring via Pseudogrids

open access: yesJournal of Graph Theory, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT A centred colouring of a graph is a vertex colouring in which every connected subgraph contains a vertex whose colour is unique and a linear colouring is a vertex colouring in which every (not‐necessarily induced) path contains a vertex whose colour is unique. For a graph G $G$, the centred chromatic number χ cen ( G ) ${\chi }_{\text{cen}}(G)$

Comparative Evaluation of Four Stereotactic Radiosurgery Planning Approaches for Treatment of Posterior Choroidal Melanoma

open access: yesJournal of Medical Radiation Sciences, EarlyView.
This study evaluated four stereotactic radiosurgery planning approaches for posterior choroidal melanoma (CM). Analysis of thirteen CM cases resulted in a clinically meaningful reduction in dose to the brain for Brainlab Elements modulated arcs (BE) and Varian Eclipse HyperArc modulated arcs (HA) compared to Brainlab iPlan dynamic conformal arc therapy

DNA barcoding for identification of species involved in wildlife strikes at Brazilian airports

open access: yesThe Journal of Wildlife Management, EarlyView.
A collaborative network of 42 Brazilian airports applied DNA barcoding to identify 80 species involved in wildlife strikes. Among them, 32 species (17 birds and 15 bats) were not currently available in Brazil's wildlife strike reporting database, underscoring the value of molecular tools for strengthening wildlife strike monitoring. Abstract This study

Efficient First‐Principles Inverse Design of Nanolasers

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
This article introduces a first‐principles inverse‐design framework for nanolasers that directly incorporates nonlinear lasing physics. By unifying steady‐state ab‐initio laser theory (SALT) with topology optimization, it reveals how spatial hole burning, gain saturation, and cavity‐emitter coupling shape laser performance, enabling efficient discovery

Resonant States Reveal Strong Light–Matter Coupling in Nanophotonic Cavities

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
Photonic resonant states reveal characteristics of coupled light–matter systems that would otherwise be hidden by damping. Their trajectories (when tuning the optical resonance) undergo a qualitative change at the onset of strong coupling: They start swapping positions.
