Probing pair correlations in Fermi gases with Ramsey-Bragg interferometry

open access: yesSciPost Physics
We propose an interferometric method to probe pair correlations in a gas of spin-$1/2$ fermions. The method consists of a Ramsey sequence where both spin states of the Fermi gas are set in a superposition of a state at rest and a state with a large ...

Asymptotic Approximation of Eigenelements of the Dirichlet Problem for the Laplacian in a Junction with Highly Oscillating Boundary [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We study the asymptotic behavior of the eigenelements of the Dirichlet problem for the Laplacian in a bounded domain, a part of whose boundary, depending on a small parameter $\varepsilon$, is highly oscillating; the frequency of oscillations of the ...

Fluctuating Curvature and Actuation in 4D Printed Asymmetric Networks by Frontal Photopolymerization

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Asymmetric polymer networks, fabricated by frontal photopolymerization (FPP), are shown to exhibit curvature oscillations associated with monomer‐solvent exchanges during development and drying. We introduce a theoretical model for such dynamic curvature fluctuations and demonstrate the fabrication of bistable switches and self‐propelled materials that

Fine structure of the asymptotic expansion of cyclic integrals

open access: yes, 2010
The asymptotic expansion of $n$-dimensional cyclic integrals was expressed as a series of functionals acting on the symmetric function involved in the cyclic integral.

Logarithmic current fluctuations in non-equilibrium quantum spin chains [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We study zero-temperature quantum spin chains which are characterized by a non-vanishing current. For the XX model starting from the initial state |... + + + - - - ...> we derive an exact expression for the variance of the total spin current.

Terahertz Volume Plasmon‐Polariton Modulation in All‐Dielectric Hyperbolic Metamaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
THz volume plasmon‐polariton (VPP) propagation through plasmon‐based hyperbolic metamaterials, made of alternating layers of doped and undoped III‐V semiconductors. Abstract The development of plasmonics and related applications in the terahertz range faces limitations due to the intrinsic high electron density of the standard metals.

Oscillatory and non-oscillatory analysis of heat and mass transfer of Darcian MHD flow of nanofluid along inclined radiating plate with joule heating and multiple slip effects: Microgravity analysis

open access: yesCase Studies in Thermal Engineering
In current analysis, the contributions of Joule heating, microgravity, thermal radiations, and porous medium on magnetized Darcy Forchheimer flow of nanofluid with multiple slips are studied.

Asymptotic Behavior and Oscillations of Second Order Differential Equations with Deviating Argument

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1996
The equation \[ (a(t)x')+ b(t)x'(t)+ c(t)x(t)= f(t,x(t),x'(t), x(\Phi(t)), x'(\Phi(t)))\tag{1} \] is considered, where \(a,b,c,\Phi\) are continuous functions defined on \(\mathbb{R}_+\) and \(f\) is continuous on \(\mathbb{R}_+\times \mathbb{R}^4\). Under certain restrictions, the behaviour of solutions of (1) as \(t\to+\infty\) is studied.
