The Type Ia Supernova and Asymptotic Giant Branch Stellar Ejecta-regulated Interstellar Medium of Massive Galaxies

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Observations and theory suggest that Type Ia supernovae (SNIa) heating and mass loss from asymptotic giant branch (AGB) stars play a crucial role in the interstellar medium (ISM) of massive galaxies.

Mathematical analysis of non-linear boundary-value problems in reaction-diffusion model of chitosan-alginate microsphere using homotopy perturbation and Akbari-Ganji methods

open access: yesPartial Differential Equations in Applied Mathematics
This article describes the non-linear reaction-diffusion model, which depicts the behaviour of hydrogen peroxide production and glucose oxidation in the chitosan-alginate microsphere.

Asymptotic profile of solutions of conservation laws with source

open access: yesDifferential and Integral Equations, 1996
The author investigates the Cauchy problem for the following balance law: \(u_t+ f(u)_x= g(u)\), \(x\in \mathbb{R}\), \(t> 0\), with convex flux \(f\) and initial value with compact support. The source function \(g\in C^1\) is supposed to have a finite number of zeros with \(g(0)= 0\) and to satisfy \(g(v)v\leq \alpha v^2+ \beta\) for some \(\alpha\), \

Local decay and asymptotic profile for the damped wave equation in the asymptotically Euclidean setting

open access: yes
We prove local decay estimates for the wave equation in the asymptotically Euclidean setting. In even dimensions we go beyond the optimal decay by providing the large time asymptotic profile, given by a solution of the free wave equation. In odd dimensions, we improve the best known estimates. In particular, we get a decay rate that is better than what

Analysis of a vector-borne disease model with vector-bias mechanism in advective heterogeneous environment

open access: yesAdvances in Nonlinear Analysis
This study proposed and analyzed a vector-borne reaction–diffusion–advection model with vector-bias mechanism and heterogeneous parameters in one-dimensional habitat.

Qualitative properties of traveling wavefronts for a three-component lattice dynamical system with delay

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2019
This article concerns a three-component delayed lattice dynamical system arising in competition models. In such models, traveling wave solutions serve an important tool to understand the competition mechanism, i.e.
