On asymptotically periodic-like motions in flows

open access: yesAnnales Universitatis Paedagogicae Cracoviensis: Studia Mathematica, 2018
We study three properties associated to the recurrence of orbits in flows: asymptotic periodicity, positive asymptotic periodicity and G-asymptotic periodicity. We determine which implications between these notions hold and which do not. We also show how

Physics‐Constrained Constitutive Learning of Rate‐Limiting Timescales for Efficient Hydrogen‐Based Direct Reduction for Green Steel Making

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A conversion‐resolved constitutive framework is developed for the hydrogen‐based direct reduction of iron oxide pellets. Effective reaction and transport timescales are inferred directly from measured trajectories and mapped against operating conditions, pellet architecture, and composition. The analysis reveals how late‐stage transport control emerges

Multidimensional asymptotic spectral analysis and applications [PDF]

open access: yes
This article adresses questions on localization and microlocalization in the framework of the so called (C,E,P)–algebras of generalized functions. We give new results on nonlinear properties of the asymptotic singular spectrum in the multi-parameter case,

Asymptotical properties of linear codes

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics, 2000
The author collects some of his previous results on some asymptotic properties of linear codes and formulates some problems. (1) Give estimates for the fraction of \([n,k]\)-codes for which the covering radius \(e\) satisfies \({k\over n}>1-h(e/n)+O(1)\) for various ``functions'' satisfying \(O(1) \), \(n\to\infty\) \((h\) is the binary entropy ...

Impedance of Nonelectroneutral Solid Electrolyte Interphases With Nanopores: A Theoretical Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Physical modeling reveals that often‐neglected non‐electroneutrality and nanopores in the solid‐electrolyte interphase (SEI) govern the impedance behavior. Under nonreactive conditions, the low‐frequency constant‐phase element (CPE) phenomenon can be attributed to the nonelectroneutral local conditions in the SEI.

Simulating properties of the likelihood ratio test for a unit root in an explosive second order autoregression [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper provides a means of accurately simulating explosive autoregressive processes, and uses this method to analyse the distribution of the likelihood ratio test statistic for an explosive second order autoregressive process.

FOS3D: A Fluorescence‐Enabled Toolkit for Characterizing a Three‐dimensional Osteosarcoma Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
FOS3D describes fluorescent (F) osteosarcoma (OS) cells in a tri‐dimensional (3D) model. The study comprises three phases: development, where biofabrication parameters are tuned to achieve cytocompatibility and tumor‐specific mechanical properties in cell‐laden gelatin methacryloyl constructs; validation, where whole‐well fluorescence reading is ...

"An Optimal Modification of the LIML Estimation for Many Instruments and Persistent Heteroscedasticity" [PDF]

open access: yes
We consider the estimation of coefficients of a structural equation with many instrumental variables in a simultaneous equation system. It is mathematically equivalent to an estimating equation estimation or a reduced rank regression in the statistical ...
