Asymptotic properties of trinomial delay differential equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
summary:The aim of this paper is to study asymptotic properties of the solutions of the third order delay differential equation \[ \Big (\frac{1}{r(t)}\,y^{\prime }(t)\Big )^{\prime \prime }-p(t)\,y^{\prime }(t)+g(t)\,y\big (\tau (t)\big )= 0\,.\ast ...

Convergence rate of principal component analysis with local-linear smoother for functional data under a unified weighing scheme

open access: yesStatistical Theory and Related Fields, 2020
The unified weighing scheme for the local-linear smoother in analysing functional data can deal with data that are dense, sparse or of neither type. In this paper, we focus on the convergence rate of functional principal component analysis using this ...

From Shear to Sound: Mechanics–Acoustics Mapping of TPMS Lattices

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) lattices are mapped across mechanical and acoustic performance, revealing that descriptors validated in compression fail under shear. First‐time comparison with trusses included. A transition from porous to resonance‐driven absorption emerges at 25% density.

On a new asymptotic norming property

open access: yesIndagationes Mathematicae, 1999
In this work, we introduce a new Asymptotic Norming Property (ANP) which lies between the strongest and weakest of the existing ones, and obtain isometric characterisations of it. The corresponding w*-ANP turns out to be equivalent on the one hand, to Property $(V)$ introduced by Sullivan, and to a ball separation property on the other.

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

ON (sub- super) asymptotic martingales

open access: yesTikrit Journal of Pure Science, 2020
In this paper we intoduce a new class of definitions (sub - super) asymptotic martingale through the concept of asymptotic martingale. we investigate and prove some properties of asymptotic martingale and (sub - super) asymptotic martingale .

Hybrid Solar Cell/Triboelectric Nanogenerator Based on Stable Two‐Dimensional Covalent Organic Frameworks

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study highlights the integration of stable two‐dimensional covalent organic framework (COF) films as photoactive layers in hybrid nanoenergy devices. The results demonstrate their capacity to generate electricity under both sunny and rainy conditions, showcasing versatility and resilience.

A Simple Test for Causality in Volatility

open access: yesEconometrics, 2017
An early development in testing for causality (technically, Granger non-causality) in the conditional variance (or volatility) associated with financial returns was the portmanteau statistic for non-causality in the variance of Cheng and Ng (1996).

Localized Temperature Monitoring in Mouse Brain during Light Delivery via a Non‐Planar Tapered Fiber‐Integrated µRTD Sensor

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We report a multifunctional tapered optical fiber integrating a conformal micro‐resistance temperature detector (µRTD) for local, real‐time thermometry during optical stimulation. The platform combines light‐delivery and temperature sensing within a minimally invasive footprint, enabling detection of sub‐degree cortical heating under representative ...

Some asymptotic properties for orthogonal polynomials with respect to varying measures [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
We study some properties of the zeros and the asymptotic behavior of orthogonal polynomials with respect to varying measures on the unit circle.
