Fixed points of asymptotically regular multivalued mappings [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Australian Mathematical Society. Series A. Pure Mathematics and Statistics, 1992
AbstractSome results on fixed point of asymptotically regular multivalued mapping are obtained in metric spaces. The structure of common fixed points and coincidence points of a pair of compatible multivalued mappings is also discussed. Our work generalizes known results of Aubin and Siegel, Dube, Dube and Singh, Hardy and Rogers, Hu, Iseki, Jungck ...

Convergence on Composite Iterative Schemes for Nonexpansive Mappings in Banach Spaces

open access: yesFixed Point Theory and Applications, 2008
Let E be a reflexive Banach space with a uniformly Gâteaux differentiable norm. Suppose that every weakly compact convex subset of E has the fixed point property for nonexpansive mappings.

Some metric fixed point theorems for weakly orbitally continuous mappings [PDF]

open access: yesMathematica Moravica
The purpose of this paper is to establish some fixed point results on the complete and orbitally complete metric spaces for Ćirić type contractive mappings in the context of weakly orbital continuity.

Common fixed points for family of mappings

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1984
The main aim of the present paper is to prove the existence of common fixed points for mappings which are not necessarily continuous. Our results, which are primarly motivated by investigation of Husain and Sehgal (Bull. Austral. Math. Soc.

Viscosity Methods of Asymptotically Pseudocontractive and Asymptotically Nonexpansive Mappings for Variational Inequalities

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2012
Let {𝑡𝑛}⊂(0,1) be such that 𝑡𝑛→1 as 𝑛→∞, let 𝛼 and 𝛽 be two positive numbers such that 𝛼+𝛽=1, and let 𝑓 be a contraction. If 𝑇 be a continuous asymptotically pseudocontractive self-mapping of a nonempty bounded closed convex subset 𝐾 of a real reflexive ...

Common stationary point of multivalued asymptotically regular mappings

open access: yesArabian Journal of Mathematics, 2023
AbstractWe establish a relationship between asymptotic regularity and common stationary points of multivalued mappings on a metric space. As a consequence of our results, we obtain a new common fixed point result for two asymptotically regular single-valued mappings. Our work significantly improves and complements comparable results in the literature.

Fixed points of a certain class of mappings in spaces with uniformly normal structure

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1998
A fixed point theorem is proved in a Banach space E which has uniformly normal structure for asymptotically regular mapping T satisfying: for each x,y in the domain and for n=1,2,⋯,‖Tnx−Tny‖≤an‖x−y‖+bn(‖x−Tnx‖+‖y−Tny‖)+cn(‖x−Tny‖+‖y−Tny‖), where an,bn ...

Quantitative asymptotic regularity results for the composition of two mappings [PDF]

open access: yesOptimization, 2016
In this paper, we use techniques which originate from proof mining to give rates of asymptotic regularity and metastability for a sequence associated to the composition of two firmly nonexpansive mappings.

A fixed point theorem for asymptotically regular mappings [PDF]

open access: yesColloquium Mathematicum, 1993
The concept of asymptotic regularity is due to F. E. Browder and W. V. Petryshyn and in metric notation can be stated as follows: a mapping \(T:M\to M\) of a metric space \((M,d)\) to itself is asymptotically regular if for any \(x\in M\), \(\lim_{n\to\infty} d(T^{n+1}x,T^n x)=0\). \textit{M. Fixed point theorems for nonexpansive mappings on nonconvex sets in UCED Banach spaces

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2002
It is shown that every asymptotically regular or λ-firmly nonexpansive mapping T:C→C has a fixed point whenever C is a finite union of nonempty weakly compact convex subsets of a Banach space X which is uniformly convex in every direction.
