Weyl asymptotics for perturbations of Morse potential and connections to the Riemann zeta function
Let N(T;V)N\left(T;\hspace{0.33em}V) denote the number of eigenvalues of the Schrödinger operator −y″+Vy-{y}^{^{\prime\prime} }+Vy with absolute value less than TT. This article studies the Weyl asymptotics of perturbations of the Schrödinger operator −y″

Medicine and “ Big Pharma” , as its strongest ally, are rapidly reorienting toward treating the healthy people, which is well reflected in the Ray Moynihan’ s term of disease mongering and Richard Smith’ s list of non-diseases. The most obvious and commonest reasons for this trend are profit (healthy people are more numerous and wealthier than ill ...

Eigenvalues asymptotics for Stark operators [PDF]
We give the eigenvalues asymptotics for the Stark operator of the form $\displaystyle-\Delta+Fx$, $F>0$ on $\displaystyle\mathrm{L}^2([0,d])$. This is given in the case when $F$ is small enough or sufficiently large.

Asymptotics of resonances for 1d Stark operators
We consider the Stark operator perturbed by a compactly supported potentials on the real line. We determine forbidden domain for resonances, asymptotics of resonances at high energy and asymptotics of the resonance counting function for large radius ...

ASYMPTOTIC UNCONDITIONALITY [PDF]
We show that a separable real Banach space embeds almost isometrically in a space $Y$ with a shrinking 1-unconditional basis if and only if $\lim_{n \to \infty} \|x^* + x_n^*\| = \lim_{n \to \infty} \|x^* - x_n^*\|$ whenever $x^* \in X^*$, $(x_n^*)$ is a weak$^*$-null sequence and both limits exist. If $X$ is reflexive then $Y$ can be assumed reflexive.

Asymptotics of block Toeplitz determinants and the classical dimer model
We compute the asymptotics of a block Toeplitz determinant which arises in the classical dimer model for the triangular lattice when considering the monomer-monomer correlation function.

Infection Models for Pine Wilt Disease on the Basis of Vector Behaviors
Infection models for pine wilt disease without vector density were built to estimate the transmission coefficient of the pathogenic nematode. The models successfully simulated the annual change in the density of infected trees for four pine stands. ABSTRACT Pine wilt disease is caused by the pinewood nematode (Bursaphelenchus xylophilus Steiner et ...

A Q‐Learning Algorithm to Solve the Two‐Player Zero‐Sum Game Problem for Nonlinear Systems
A Q‐learning algorithm to solve the two‐player zero‐sum game problem for nonlinear systems. ABSTRACT This paper deals with the two‐player zero‐sum game problem, which is a bounded L2$$ {L}_2 $$‐gain robust control problem. Finding an analytical solution to the complex Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Issacs (HJI) equation is a challenging task.

Asymptotics of liquid velocity to the problem of fluid outflow from a rectangular duct
We have constructed and analyzed the first-order asymptotics of liquid velocity for the two-dimensional steady problem of energy-conserving fluid outflow from a rectangular duct. These asymptotics are constructed using the first-order asymptotics for the

The Cauchy problem for singularly perturbed higher-order integro-differential equations
The article is devoted to research the Cauchy problem for singularly perturbed higher-order linear integro-differential equation with a small parameter at the highest derivatives, provided that the roots of additional characteristic equation have ...
