State Assignments for Asynchronous Sequential Machines

IEEE Transactions on Computers, 1971
In this paper, a heuristic state assignment algorithm for asynchronous sequential machines is presented. Machines realized by this assignment scheme will result in circuits having a small amount of gate inputs and operating in single transition time. It is also shown that for a flow table having m 1 input columns, m input variables, and d stable states,

Modelling and identification of the asynchronous machine

First International Symposium on Control, Communications and Signal Processing, 2004., 2004
In order to identify an asynchronous machine by a fuzzy controller while using the method of STREJC, it is necessary to mention that the establishment of a mathematical model of asynchronous machine which the complexity and the no linearity have been reduced in return for a certain number of simplifying hypotheses and while applying the transformation ...

Asynchronous Sequential Machines Designed for Fault Detection

IEEE Transactions on Computers, 1974
A design procedure is presented which allows for detection of faults in asynchronous sequential machines in a real time environment. Faults affecting both the output states and the internal operation of the machine are detected. The class of faults initially considered are single stuck-at-1 and stuck-at-0 faults.

Asynchronous Reconfiguration for Paxos State Machines

2014
This paper addresses reconfiguration of a Replicated State Machine RSM in an asynchronous system. It is well known that consensus cannot be solved in an asynchronous system. Therefore an RSM providing strong consistency, cannot guarantee progress in an asynchronous system. However, we show that reconfiguring the RSM is possible in a purely asynchronous

The model of asynchronous induction machines

Proceedings. International Conference on Power System Technology, 2003
A new method to obtain the new model of asynchronous machines is presented in the article. The new model can be used when the parameters of the machine's stator are unbalance. The simulation and experiment results show that in the scope suited to Park model, the new model has the exactly same behavior as the Park model. When there are unbalanced stator

Simulation of an asynchronized synchronous machine

Mathematics and Computers in Simulation, 1973
This paper describes a detailed analogue computer simulation of an asynchronized synchronous machine, which is suitable for investigating both steady-state and transient performance. A simple method is presented for simulating asynchronous operating conditions, and developed to provide the required excitation control.

Handbook of Asynchronous Machine with Variable Speed

2013
This handbook deals with the asynchronous machine in its close environment. It was born from a reflection on this electromagnetic converter whose integration in industrial environments takes a wide part. Previously this type of motor operated at fixed speed, from now on it has been integrated more and more in processes at variable speed.

Emptiness Is Decidable for Asynchronous Cellular Machines

2000
We resume the investigation of asynchronous cellular automata. Originally, these devices were considered in the context of Mazurkiewicz traces, and later generalized to run on arbitrary pomsets without autoconcurrency by Droste and Gastin [3]. While the universality of the accepted language is known to be undecidable [11], we show here that the ...

Automatic synthesis of 3D asynchronous state machines

IEEE/ACM International Conference on Computer-Aided Design, 1992
An automatic synthesis tool (3D) for designing asynchronous controllers from burst-mode specifications, a class of specifications allowing multiple input change fundamental mode operation, is described. An algorithm for constructing a three-dimensional next-state table, a heuristic for encoding states, and a procedure for generating necessary ...
