USE OF COPPER SLAG AS FINE AGGREGATE AND PARTIAL REPLACEMENT OF CEMENT

open access: yesHolos, 2018
Estuda-se o uso de escória de cobre (CS) como agregado fino e substituto parcial do cimento na preparação de argamassas. Os resultados mostraram um aumento na resistência à compressão e à flexão em 3, 7 e 28 dias usando CS como agregado fino.

Multispectral Surface Reflectance as an Indicator of Groundwater Depth for Salt Crust Systems: Insights From the Bonneville Salt Flats, Utah

open access: yesEarth and Space Science, Volume 13, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract The Bonneville Salt Flats (BSF) in northwestern Utah, USA, has experienced changes in area, thickness, and hydrology over the past century. This study investigates the relationship between multispectral Halite Index (HI) values, which are sensitive to halite moisture content, from Landsat and Sentinel‐2 imagery and groundwater depth (GWD ...

Exploring the Interior Structure of (16) Psyche Through Basin‐Scale Collisions

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Planets, Volume 131, Issue 3, March 2026.
Abstract Asteroid (16) Psyche, the largest member of the M/X‐type asteroids, may be the leftover core of a differentiated planetesimal. As such (16) Psyche will be explored in detail by NASA's discovery‐class Psyche mission in 2029. This will be the first mission to orbit a metal‐rich asteroid, or any asteroid in the 100–500 km size range.

Phylogenomics, ecomorphological evolution, and historical biogeography in Deuterocohnia (Bromeliaceae: Pitcairnioideae)

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Botany, Volume 113, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract Premise Species of Deuterocohnia (17 spp.) show extraordinary variation in elevation (0–3900 m a.s.l.) and growth forms, and many have narrow geographic distributions in the west‐central Andes and the Peru‐Chile coast. Previous research using few plastid and nuclear loci failed to produce well‐resolved or supported phylogenies.

Ribcage Morphology in Native South American Populations From Different Altitudes: Insights From a Global Comparative Framework

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Human Biology, Volume 38, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives Altitude shapes human morphology as highland populations must cope with cold and hypoxic environments. Although Andean highlanders have been proposed to exhibit larger and deeper ribcages, this idea is mainly based on research using disarticulated skeletal elements or non‐South American controls. The objective of this research is to

Towards a material‐dialogic theory of climate teacher education: A global North–South dialogue

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, Volume 52, Issue 1, Page 156-179, February 2026.
Abstract This paper develops a novel theoretical stance for reimagining initial teacher education (ITE) through genuine North–South dialogue that challenges dominant Global North paradigms in teacher education. Drawing on collaborative inquiry between researchers from England and Chile, we synthesise material‐dialogic space theory (derived from Global ...
