Highly Aligned Bacteria Cellulose Yarn Aggregation for Energy Generation and Strain Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Although high‐performance bacterial cellulose fibers have attracted significant interest for wearable electronics, a self‐powered and high‐mechanosensitive design is still scarce for achieving an intelligent integrated system. Here, we demonstrate an innovative bio‐fabrication strategy to develop a core‐sheath yarn that features the ordered network and

Effect Differences of Omega‐3 Fatty Acids From Plant Oil and Fish Oil on Human Health

open access: yesAgriFood: Journal of Agricultural Products for Food, EarlyView.
Omega‐3 fatty acids in plant oil is no less than fish oil on human health. ALA in plant oil takes directly healthy effects without conversion to DHA and EPA. Plant oil can be substitutes for fish oil to support partial ω‐3 fatty acids. For people who cannot afford fish oil, plant oil is also good for public health.

Deconditioning the athletic heart [PDF]

open access: yesBMJ Case Reports, 2013
A 42-year-old competitive runner was referred for cardiac screening following the death of one of his running partners from a cardiomyopathy. He had no significant cardiac symptoms and there was no family history of a cardiomyopathy. Baseline ECG and echocardiography were abnormal with deep T-wave inversion in leads V1–V3 (figure 1A), mild left ...
