Planned harvesting and processing of marine macroalgae could meet future global food needs and mitigate fuel‐originated carbon dioxide responsible for climate change. Microalgal foods are nutritious and safe. The utilization of macroalgae would avoid environmental problems arising from the release of overgrowing macroalgae caused by heatwaves, which ...

Water holding properties of Atlantic salmon [PDF]
With global seafood production increasing to feed the rising population, there is a need to produce fish and fishery products of high quality and freshness. Water holding properties, including drip loss (DL) and water holding capacity (WHC), are important parameters in determining fish quality as they affect functional properties of muscles such as ...

Carbonates from Santos Basin revealed U–Pb ages correlated with basalt ages (A), suggesting that they were formed during magmatic events. These events placed hot CO2 in the reservoir, which, when mixed with carbonate‐rich cold water (B), led to thermal convection, enabling the formation of the U contained in the carbonates.

A study of the South Atlantic Ocean: Circulation and Carbon Variability
This analysis indicates that the Southern Ocean provides a trong sink, yet low storage, for atmospheric CO2. The South Atlantic Ocean, in particular, facilitates major interbasin exchange through the interaction of the Antarctic Circumpolar Current (ACC),
