Revista de Medicina Desportiva Informa, 2023Gastrointestinal disorders are frequent in athletes, especially in those not trained to ingest food and fluids during exercise, and may affect performance. Its pathogenesis is related to the physiologic changes resulting from exercise, being favored by dehydration and the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
