Airborne observations of astronomical objects [PDF]
The UV spectra of the sun, as well as the differences and ratios of planetary and solar spectra, are presented. The results indicate that SO, SO2 and ClO2 may be present in Venus' atmosphere, and Formaldehyde CH2O and ClO2 on Jupiter.

Exoplanet albedo spectra and colors as a function of planet phase, separation, and metallicity [PDF]
First generation optical coronagraphic telescopes will obtain images of cool gas and ice giant exoplanets around nearby stars. The albedo spectra of exoplanets at planet-star separations larger than about 1 AU are dominated by reflected light to beyond 1

Infrared spectroscopy of Jupiter and Saturn [PDF]
High resolution infrared spectoscopy provides unique insights into the chemistry and dynamics of the atmospheres of Jupiter and Saturn. The 5 micrometer spectral region, which is transparent to deep levels, is particularly useful for the identification ...

Absorption Cross Sections of NH_3, NH_2D, NHD_2, and ND_3 in the Spectral Range 140-220 nm and Implications for Planetary Isotopic Fractionation [PDF]
Cross sections for photoabsorption of NH_3, NH_2D, NHD_2, and ND_3 in the spectral region 140-220 nm were determined at ~298 K using synchrotron radiation.

Can Jupiter’s Atmospheric Metallicity Be Different from the Deep Interior?
Updated formation and structure models of Jupiter predict a metal-poor envelope. This is at odds with the two to three times solar metallicity measured by the Galileo probe. Additionally, Juno data imply that water and ammonia are enriched.

The Influence of Non‐Thermal Collisions in Europa's Atmosphere
In this study, we show that non‐thermal collisions can play a significant role in shaping Europa's exospheric structure. Collisions between radiolytically produced O2 and the O produced via electron impact dissociation of O2 affect the exospheric ...

Saturn orbiter mission study [PDF]
A preliminary analysis of the important aspects of missions orbiting the planet Saturn is provided. Orbital missions to Saturn is given serious consideration for the 1980's, or after flybys by Pioneer 10/G and Mariner Jupiter-Saturn 1977.
