Atmospheric pressure microwave plasma torch

2011 Abstracts IEEE International Conference on Plasma Science, 2011
An home made atmospheric pressure microwave plasma torch has been built. The plasma discharge has been generated at 2.45 GHz frequency for different powers with argon and helium gases for the different flow rates. Optical emission spectrum of microwave excited discharge will be provided.

Atmospheric pressure non-thermal plasma

IEEE Conference Record - Abstracts. 1997 IEEE International Conference on Plasma Science, 2002
Summary form only given, as follows. We discuss several configurations of dielectric-barrier discharges to produce stable and uniform plasma in air. The discharges have potential applications in manufacturing, pollution cleanup and sterilization. A dual pressure discharge will be discussed. The UV produced by low pressure discharge is coupled to a high

Cold plasma brush generated at atmospheric pressure

Review of Scientific Instruments, 2007
A cold plasma brush is generated at atmospheric pressure with low power consumption in the level of several watts (as low as 4W) up to tens of watts (up to 45W). The plasma can be ignited and sustained in both continuous and pulsed modes with different plasma gases such as argon or helium, but argon was selected as a primary gas for use in this work ...

Tooth Bleaching with Nonthermal Atmospheric Pressure Plasma

Journal of Endodontics, 2009
We demonstrated that room temperature plasma could be used for tooth bleaching. A nonthermal, atmospheric pressure, helium plasma jet device was developed to enhance the tooth bleaching effect of hydrogen peroxide (H(2)O(2)). All teeth were sectioned sagittally into halves, which were assigned randomly to either the experimental group or the control ...

Atmospheric Pressure Nonthermal Plasma Sources

2016
Nonthermal plasmas, especially atmospheric pressure plasmas, are used increasingly for physical and chemical processing in widespread applications. Driven by emerging novel applications, atmospheric pressure nonthermal plasma sources (APNTPs) have been progressing to a broad technological field.

Non-Thermal Atmospheric Pressure Plasma

2007
Publisher Summary Plasma-chemical and plasma-processing systems are traditionally divided into two major categories: thermal and non-thermal ones. Non-thermal plasma offers high selectivity and energy efficiency of plasma-chemical reactions; it is able to operate effectively at low temperatures, in contact with fragile and delicate materials and does

Plasma diffusion in the atmospheric pressure plasma jets

2011 Abstracts IEEE International Conference on Plasma Science, 2011
The plasma diffusion has been investigated with respect to the atmospheric-pressure plasma jets (APPJ). The ambi-polar diffusion equation is solved in the radial and axial directions. To explain the plasma diffusion process, the plasma diffusion equation is derived with the charged particle motion and the plasma fluid continuity equation1.

Atmospheric pressure plasma vapour coatings

2010
The dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) is recognized as a promising tool of thin films deposition on various substrates at atmospheric pressure. Emerging applications including encapsulation of flexible solar cells and flexible displays require large scale low costs production cif transparent uniform dense layers with low level of surface defects ...
