Characterization of an atmospheric pressure plasma jet and its application for treatment of non-woven textiles [PDF]
Atmospheric pressure plasma jets are well-known in the plasma chemistry community because of their novel applications. However, in spite of a large amount of publications, the physical chemistry of plasma jet/surface interactions is still unknown.

Hollow poly(heptazine imide) spheres are prepared through a novel approach that integrates hard templating with ionothermal synthesis. This method enables precise control over surface area, pore volume, hydrophilicity, light absorption, band position, and metal composition. These tunable properties facilitate the customized design of semiconductors for

Visualising gas heating from an RF plasma loudspeaker [PDF]
In an electro-acoustic transduction mechanism, an ac modulation (here in the audio frequency range) of the electric field in an atmospheric pressure air plasma gives rise to a rapid increase in the gas temperature and dimensions of the gas volume.

The dielectric properties of clays are studied on the level of individual monolayers and functional double stacks. The material breakdown characteristics and charge storage performance are analyzed. For illustration, a defined charge pattern representing a cuneiform character is produced, written into a microscopic clay tile, referencing the origins of

Rapid allergen inactivation using atmospheric pressure cold plasma [PDF]
Allergies have become a global problem, and effective control is greatly needed. Here, the inactivation effects of the atmospheric pressure cold plasma (APCP) on aerosolized allergens including Der p 1, Der f 1, Asp f 1, Alt a 1, and Can f 1 as well as those from indoor and outdoor environments were investigated. The effectiveness of the APCP treatment

This study demonstrates that pulsed potential electrolysis significantly improves CO2 reduction performance on copper‐nitrogen doped carbon electrodes. The formation of cationic copper sites and metallic clusters as a function of applied intermittent potential leads to notable selectivity changes compared to potentiostatic reduction.
