3D Printed Ultra‐Fast Plastic Scintillators Based on Perovskite‐Photocurable Polymer Composite

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 12, March 18, 2025.
The demand for radiation detection is increasing in a number of fields, including high‐energy physics, medical imaging, and homeland security. This study serves to demonstrate the potential for the fabrication of fast perovskite‐based scintillators with complex shapes via stereolithographic additive manufacturing, representing a new path toward the ...

Engineering the Hierarchical Porosity of Granular Hydrogel Scaffolds Using Porous Microgels to Improve Cell Recruitment and Tissue Integration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 12, March 18, 2025.
By fabricating and covalently assembling gelatin methacryloyl (GelMA) porous microgels, a new class of granular hydrogel scaffolds with hierarchical porosity is developed. These scaffolds have a significantly higher void fraction than their counterparts made up of nonporous microgels, enhancing cell recruitment and tissue integration. This research may

1/f noise and multifractality in atmospheric-CO2 records [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2006
We study the fluctuations in the measured atmospheric CO2 records from several stations and show that it displays 1/f noise and multifractality. Using detrended fluctuation analysis and wavelet based methods, we estimate thescaling exponents at various time scales. We also simulate CO2 time series from an atmospheric chemistry-transport model (CTM) and

Concurrent Interface Passivation and Contact Work Function Tuning in Organic Self‐Aligned Gate Transistors and Complementary Circuits Using Phosphonic Acid Self‐Assembled Monolayers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Self‐aligned gate transistors are developed with a single‐step dielectric passivation and fine‐tuning of source/drain electrode work function using phosphonic acid self‐assembled monolayers (SAM). This transistor architecture minimizes overlap capacitances and access resistance.

Dynamics of the Upper Atmosphere

open access: yesEos, Transactions American Geophysical Union, 1982
The earth's upper atmosphere is highly dynamic, receiving strong energy inputs both from below in the form of upward propagating waves and from above in the form of electromagnetic and particle radiation from the sun and magnetosphere. Above 100 km the dynamics become increasingly influenced by factors that are of minor importance in the lower ...
