Inspired by lung alveolar architecture, a dual‐templating strategy combining CO2 bubble and ice templating creates mechanically robust super‐macroporous hydrogels with highly interconnected transport pathways. The resulting material achieves 3.37× faster moisture sorption and 1.72× higher solar‐driven water release than single‐templated counterparts ...

Observations of exoplanet atmospheres [PDF]
In the past decade the field of extra-solar planetary science has moved beyond simple detections of planets outside of our Solar System into more detailed characterisations of these objects. One avenue that is at the forefront of current research is the study of extra-solar planet atmospheres.

Electrospun Wood‐Derived Biopolymers as Electrodes in Electrochemical Energy Storage Technologies
Electrospinning transforms wood‐derived cellulose and lignin into architecturally defined, binder‐free carbon electrodes with tuneable porosity and functionality. This review shows how fibre design enables decoupled charge and mass transport, enhancing performance across battery systems, while identifying key challenges in spinnability, scalability ...

Atomic layer deposition is used to conformally surface engineer polymeric membranes to fabricate inorganic–organic hybrid membranes. These membranes have exceptionally strong attraction toward water even in high oil containing emulsions, which leads to an extremely strong hydration layer at the interface.
