Scaling Limits for Beam Wave Propagation in Atmospheric Turbulence [PDF]
We prove the convergence of the solutions of the parabolic wave equation to that of the Gaussian white-noise model widely used in the physical literature.

Extraterrestrial Influences on Remote Sensing in the Earth’s Atmosphere
Atmospheric properties have a significant influence on electromagnetic (EM) waves, including the propagation of EM signals used for remote sensing.

Atmospheric impairment-induced attenuation is the prominent source of signal degradation in radio wave communication channels. The computation-based modeling of radio wave attenuation over the atmosphere is the stepwise application of relevant radio ...

Evaluation of Mobile GSM Performance under Different Atmospheric Propagation Models [PDF]
Atmospheric propagation is very effective on the performance of the wireless, mobile, radar, and communication systems. In this paper different atmospheric models are constructed under different atmospheric conditions.

In this paper, we consider the effect of the atmospheric turbulence on the propagation of optical vertex formed from the radial coherent laser beam array, with the initially well-defined phase distribution.

On azimuthally propagating equatorial atmospheric waves
AbstractWe investigate the existence of solutions to a recent model for large-scale equatorial waves, derived recently by an asymptotic method driven by the thin-shell approximation of the Earth’s atmosphere in rotating spherical coordinates.

lonospheric propagation of Atmospherics
With the equipment described in an earlier communication numerous waveforms of atmospherics in the frequency region 50 c/s to 300 kc/s have been reported at this station during the period April 1957 to December 1958. A large number of these show a multi-hop propagation and the results of measurements of these waveforms are analysed and presented in ...

Function‐driven design of a surrogate interleukin‐2 receptor ligand
Interleukin (IL)‐2 signaling can be achieved and precisely fine‐tuned through the affinity, distance, and orientation of the heterodimeric receptors with their ligands. We designed a biased IL‐2 surrogate ligand that selectively promotes effector T and natural killer cell activation and differentiation. Interleukin (IL) receptors play a pivotal role in

Wave propagation and shock formation in different magnetic structures
Velocity oscillations "measured" simultaneously at the photosphere and the chromosphere -from time series of spectropolarimetric data in the 10830 A region- of different solar magnetic features allow us to study the properties of wave propagation as a ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.
