First Intel Low-Cost IA Atom-based System-On-Chip for Nettop/Netbook
2009 1st Asia Symposium on Quality Electronic Design, 2009The paper describes a design IP-reuse methodology used in a new Intel Low Cost IA (LCIA) System-on-Chip (SoC) design, call Pineview (PNV). The PNV SoC is used in the next generation Intel Nettop/Netbook platform. The SoC chip integrates several Intel internal Intellectual Property (IP) blocks on the same die: mainly two Atom CPU cores, a Graphic engine,

Abstract Recently, various electronic components including transistor, barristor, memory, and transparent electrode were implemented using graphene. While integrated circuits were demonstrated by combining graphene transistors and passive components, system on chip (SoC) platform, state-of-the-art semiconductor technology, by combining transistors ...

There has been recent interest in developing chip-scale cold atom systems for a range of timing and sensing applications. Here we present DFB lasers at 780 nm flip-chip bonded onto a Si substrate with the light coupled into Si 3 N 4 waveguides and a micro-ring locking cavity.

Abstract : Considerable progress was made during the grant period toward establishing a chip based atom interferometer. At the beginning of the gBECi period, no coherent on-chip beam splitter had been demonstrated. During the funding period, we developed two area enclosing interferometers with demonstrated coherence preservation: one using optical ...

We describe a silicon chip-based supported bilayer system to detect the presence of ion channels and their electrical conductance in lipid bilayers. Nanopores were produced in microfabricated silicon membranes by electron beam lithography as well as by using a finely focused ion beam.
