Image routing via atomic spin coherence [PDF]
AbstractCoherent storage of optical image in a coherently-driven medium is a promising method with possible applications in many fields. In this work, we experimentally report a controllable spatial-frequency routing of image via atomic spin coherence in a solid-state medium driven by electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT).

A trapped ultracold atom force sensor with a μm-scale spatial resolution
We report on the use of an ultracold ensemble of ^87 Rb atoms trapped in a vertical lattice as a source for a quantum force sensor based on a Ramsey–Raman type interferometer.

Recently, Kumar Gerry et al. [Phys. Rev. A 90, 033427 (2014) https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevA.90.033427] studied the coherence control in a six-level atom through solving the Schrödinger equation in the field-interaction representation.

Atomic coherence effects in four-wave mixing process of a ladder-type atomic system.
We investigate the effects of atomic coherence on four-wave mixing (FWM), with respect to the transition routes between the hyperfine states in the 5S1/2-5P3/2-5D5/2 transition of 87Rb atoms.

Coherence Properties of Guided-Atom Interferometers [PDF]
We present a detailed investigation of the coherence properties of beam splitters and Mach-Zehnder interferometers for guided atoms. It is demonstrated that such a setup permits coherent wave packet splitting and leads to the appearance of interference fringes.

Extreme sub-wavelength atom localization via coherent population trapping [PDF]
We demonstrate an atom localization scheme based on monitoring of the atomic coherences. We consider atomic transitions in a Lambda configuration where the control field is a standing wave field.

Time- and frequency-domain polariton interference
We present experimental observations of interference between an atomic spin coherence and an optical field in a {\Lambda}-type gradient echo memory. The interference is mediated by a strong classical field that couples a weak probe field to the atomic ...
