Dynamics of an atomic system associated with a cavity-optomechanical system
This paper introduces the effective Hamiltonian of two two-level atoms inside a cavity with a movable mirror. The temporal evolution of the output density state that includes the interaction between movable mirror, atoms, and field is obtained.

EIT and diffusion of atomic coherence
We study experimentally the effect of diffusion of Rb atoms on Electromagnetically Induced Transparency (EIT) in a buffer gas vapor cell. In particular, we find that diffusion of atomic coherence in-and-out of the laser beam plays a crucial role in ...

Laser-phase and frequency stabilization using atomic coherence [PDF]
We present a novel and simple method of stabilizing the laser phase and frequency by polarization spectroscopy of an atomic vapor. In analogy to the Pound-Drever-Hall method, which uses a cavity as a memory of the laser phase, this method uses atomic ...

Coherent optical nanotweezers for ultracold atoms
There has been a recent surge of interest and progress in creating subwavelength free-space optical potentials for ultra-cold atoms. A key open question is whether geometric potentials, which are repulsive and ubiquitous in the creation of subwavelength free-space potentials, forbid the creation of narrow traps with long lifetimes.

A coherent quantum annealer with Rydberg atoms [PDF]
AbstractThere is a significant ongoing effort in realizing quantum annealing with different physical platforms. The challenge is to achieve a fully programmable quantum device featuring coherent adiabatic quantum dynamics. Here we show that combining the well-developed quantum simulation toolbox for Rydberg atoms with the recently proposed Lechner ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Optimal Squeezing in Resonance Fluorescence via Atomic-State Purification
Squeezing of atomic resonance fluorescence is shown to be optimized by a properly designed environment, which can be realized by a quasi-resonant cavity.

ProtoGen: Automatically Generating Directory Cache Coherence Protocols from Atomic Specifications
Designing directory cache coherence protocols is complicated because coherence transactions are not atomic in modern multicore processors. A coherence transaction comprises multiple messages, and these messages can interleave with other conflicting ...

Coherent Atomic Soliton Molecules
We discuss the dynamics of interacting atomic bright solitons and dark bubbles in bulk immiscible Bose-Einstein condensates. Coherent matter-wave clusters can be constructed using dark-bright pairs with appropriate phases. In two dimensions we describe novel types of matter-wave molecules without a scalar counterpart that can be seen as bound states of
