Solar-energy conversion and light emission in an atomic monolayer p-n diode.
Nature Nanotechnology, 2013The limitations of the bulk semiconductors currently used in electronic devices-rigidity, heavy weight and high costs--have recently shifted the research efforts to two-dimensional atomic crystals such as graphene and atomically thin transition-metal ...

Atomic site electrocatalysts for water splitting, oxygen reduction and selective oxidation.
Chemical Society Reviews, 2020Electrocatalysis plays a central role in clean energy conversion, enabling a number of processes for future sustainable technologies. Atomic site electrocatalysts (ASCs), including single-atomic site catalysts (SASCs) and diatomic site catalysis (DASCs),

Atomic‐Level Reactive Sites for Semiconductor‐Based Photocatalytic CO2 Reduction
Advanced Energy Materials, 2020Photocatalytic CO2 reduction is an effective means to generate renewable energy. It involves redox reactions, reduction of CO2 and oxidation of water, that leads to the production of solar fuel.

Atomic energy and energy security
Atomic Energy, 2006The results of analytical investigations of the dynamics of world energy consumption, which were performed on the basis of a mathematical analysis of series of statistical data on the consumption of primary energy in the world, are presented. The main trends characteristic for the present stage of development of world energy production are determined ...

The presented book we offer here is not kind of usual book. You know, reading now doesn't mean to handle the printed book in your hand. You can get the soft file of atomic energy in your gadget.

In this chapter, we look at the energy of electrons in an atom and determine how the quantum state of the atom changes over time. This leads us to introduce the energy operator, or Hamiltonian, and the Schrodinger equation that governs the behaviour of quantum systems.

Realizing the atomic active center for hydrogen evolution electrocatalysts.
Angewandte Chemie, 2020Hydrogen (H 2 ) evolution from water using renewable electrical energy is quite attractive. Though Pt/C exhibits the highest H 2 evolution reaction (HER) catalytic activity, the scarce supply and high cost limit its large-scale application. Atomic active

Abstract The claim that nuclear energy will not be necessary in the future depends upon the supposition that there need be no significant increase in global energy consumption. Population growth, and the demand to improve greatly the lot of the majority of the human race, make nonsense of this assumption. By the middle of the coming century the world's
