Biointerfacing with AgBiS2 Quantum Dots for Pseudocapacitive Photostimulation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
It is demonstrated that AgBiS2 quantum dots exhibit unique photoinduced pseudocapacitive charge transfer properties, enabling efficient light‐to‐electrical energy conversion. These quantum dots facilitate enhanced light absorption and transduction when integrated with ZnO nanowires, which serve as an effective charge transport medium.

Atomic fluorescence spectrometry via photofragmentation of volatile beta-diketonate chelates [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
Laser-based atomic spectroscopic methods for trace metals analysis offer many advantages of potential use to the analytical chemist; namely, extremely high sensitivity and selectivity. The key to achieving high sensitivity Is efficient sample atomization.

The Role of Fluorine‐Functionalized Organic Spacers for Defect Passivation and Low‐Dimensional Phase Formation in 3D MAPI Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fluorine‐functionalized organic spacers (2F, 3F, 5F) are investigated to identify as optimal passivation agents for 3D MAPI perovskite solar cells (PSCs). The study highlights how altering fluorine positioning affects defect passivation, low‐dimensional phase (LDP) formation, and stability, emphasizing its role in molecular interactions and offering ...

Optical Nanofibers for Manipulating and Probing Single-Atom Fluorescence [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2006
We demonstrate how optical nanofibers can be used to manipulate and probe single-atom fluorescence. We show that fluorescence photons from a very small number of atoms, average atom number of less than 0.1, around the nanofiber can readily be observed through single-mode optical fiber under resonant laser irradiation.

Regioselective and Anisotropic Multi‐Patching of Small Microparticles via a Polymer Brush‐Assisted Microcontact Printing (µCP)

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A method to fabricate anisotropic SiO2 patchy microspheres is presented using a modified microcontact printing technique. This involves a PDMS elastomer stamp with grooved surface topography, creating a confined environment for the microspheres.

Multifunctional Hydroxyapatite Coated with Gallium Liquid Metal‐Based Silver Nanoparticles for Infection Prevention and Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A multifunctional hydroxyapatite (HAp) coating integrated with silver‐gallium liquid metal nanoparticles (HAp‐Ag‐GaNPs) exhibits dual antibacterial and osteogenic properties. It effectively inhibits Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria, including resistant strains, while enhancing bone regeneration.
