Disruption of SETD3‐mediated histidine‐73 methylation by the BWCFF‐associated β‐actin G74S mutation
The β‐actin G74S mutation causes altered interaction of actin with SETD3, reducing histidine‐73 methylation efficiency and forming two distinct actin variants. The variable ratio of these variants across cell types and developmental stages contributes to tissue‐specific phenotypical changes. This imbalance may impair actin dynamics and mechanosensitive

Coupled techniques for arsenic speciation in food and drinking water: A review [PDF]
Arsenic is ubiquitous in nature appearing in various chemical forms. The toxicity, environmental mobility and accumulation of As in living organisms depends on the form in which the element exists, thus requiring techniques which can identify specific ...

Exposure to common noxious agents (1), including allergens, pollutants, and micro‐nanoplastics, can cause epithelial barrier damage (2) in our body's protective linings. This may trigger an immune response to our microbiome (3). The epithelial barrier theory explains how this process can lead to chronic noncommunicable diseases (4) affecting organs ...

Abstract Expressions for the intensity of atomic fluorescence of atoms in atomic fluorescence flame spectrometry are derived by a simple approach. In this approach the atomic fluorescence of atoms at low and high concentrations excited by narrow line and continuous sources is considered, and the approach is general for resonance, stepwise-line, and ...

Elevated level of cholesterol is positively correlated to prostate cancer development and disease severity. Cholesterol‐lowering drugs, such as statins, are demonstrated to inhibit prostate cancer. VNPP433‐3β interrupts multiple signaling and metabolic pathways, including cholesterol biosynthesis, AR‐mediated transcription of several oncogenes, mRNA 5′

Tracing Noble Gas Radionuclides in the Environment [PDF]
Trace analysis of radionuclides is an essential and versatile tool in modern science and technology. Due to their ideal geophysical and geochemical properties, long-lived noble gas radionuclides, in particular, 39Ar (t1/2 = 269 yr), 81Kr (t1/2 = 2.3x10^5

B‐cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B‐CLL) and monoclonal B‐cell lymphocytosis (MBL) show altered proteomes and phosphoproteomes, analyzed using mass spectrometry, protein microarrays, and western blotting. Identifying 2970 proteins and 316 phosphoproteins, including 55 novel phosphopeptides, we reveal BCR and NF‐kβ/STAT3 signaling in disease ...

Adsorption Kinetics of Low Mercury Solution with Durian Shell and Activated Carbon
BACKGROUND The direct discharge of Hg(Ⅱ) is harmful to the environment. At present, activated carbon is used to remove it, but the production of activated carbon through high-temperature pyrolysis and activation is very expensive.
