Refined premature chromosome condensation (G0-PCC) with cryo-preserved mitotic cells for rapid radiation biodosimetry

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
Mitotic cell fusion induced Premature Chromosome Condensation (G0-PCC) assay in human lymphocytes allows rapid detection of cytogenetic damage in interphase stage, within few hours after blood collection.

Study of reactive electron beam deposited tantalum penta oxide thin films with spectroscopic ellipsometry and atomic force microscopy

open access: yesApplied Surface Science Advances, 2023
The optical and surface morphological properties of thin films are profoundly influenced by the deposition technique and the various process parameters employed. In present work, several tantalum penta oxide thin films have been fabricated using reactive

Energy dependence of optical potential in the near barrier elastic scattering of 11B from 232Th

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2015
The elastic scattering cross sections of 11B projectile on the 232Th target have been measured at different bombarding energies close to the Coulomb barrier.

Photosynthesis under far‐red light—evolutionary adaptations and bioengineering of light‐harvesting complexes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phototrophs evolved light‐harvesting systems adapted for efficient photon capture in habitats enriched in far‐red radiation. A subset of eukaryotic pigment‐binding proteins can absorb far‐red photons via low‐energy chlorophyll states known as red forms.

Elastic, inelastic and inclusive alpha cross sections in 6Li+112Sn system

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2016
Elastic, inelastic and inclusive alpha cross sections have been measured. Coupled-channels calculations by including the couplings of projectile breakup channels and target excitations explain the measured elastic and inelastic data.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

The anti‐CRISPR protein AcrIE8.1 inhibits the type I‐E CRISPR‐Cas system by directly binding to the Cascade subunit Cas11

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we present the structure of AcrIE8.1, a previously uncharacterized anti‐CRISPR protein that inhibits the type I‐E CRISPR‐Cas system. Through a combination of structural and biochemical analyses, we demonstrate that AcrIE8.1 directly binds to the Cas11 subunit of the Cascade complex to inhibit the CRISPR‐Cas system.

Fine-structure Transitions of Ne+, Ar+, Ne2+, and Ar2+ Induced by Collisions with Atomic Hydrogen

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We calculate cross sections for fine-structure transitions of Ne ^+ , Ar ^+ , Ne ^2+ , and Ar ^2+ in collisions with atomic hydrogen by using quantum-mechanical methods. Relaxation rate coefficients are calculated for temperatures up to 10,000 K.
