Equilibrium atomic structure: Rotating atoms
Physical Review Letters, 1986Exact rigid body solutions for two-electron atoms have been derived within classical mechanics. These solutions describe equilibrium constellations of the electrons, i.e. the electrons do not experience any force within these constellations. Moreover it is shown that exactly two nondegenerate equilibria exist.

Abstract One of the most important topics in atomic physics is the description of atomic energy levels. The study of atomic structure continues to be an exciting field, with increasingly precise measurements and improved calculational tools allowing ever more detailed comparisons between experiment and theory.

This chapter looks at the atomic structure and shows that atoms are bonded together to form compounds. The chapter atoms, nucleus, electron, proton, and neutron by referring to the nuclear model. A mass spectrometer can be used to measure the masses of atoms. Electronic structures are often called electronic configurations. The Schrödinger equation can

The purpose of this project was to develop a set of graphical learning sheets on the topic of atomic structure as a supplementary learning medium for students. The objective was to create a visually engaging, accessible, and scientifically accurate resource that could support students’ understanding of abstract chemical concepts, particularly the ...
