In situ measurement of the dynamic structure factor in ultracold quantum gases

open access: yes, 2012
We propose an experimental setup to efficiently measure the dynamic structure factor of ultracold quantum gases. Our method uses the interaction of the trapped atomic system with two different cavity modes, which are driven by external laser fields.

Reexamining Black-Body Shifts for Hydrogenlike Ions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We investigate black-body induced energy shifts for low-lying levels of atomic systems, with a special emphasis on transitions used in current and planned high-precision experiments on atomic hydrogen and ionized helium.

Atomic Parity Nonconservation: Electroweak Parameters and Nuclear Structure

open access: yes, 1992
There have been suggestions to measure atomic parity nonconservation (PNC) along an isotopic chain, by taking ratios of observables in order to cancel complicated atomic structure effects.

UJAT-Net: A U-Net Combined Joint-Attention and Transformer for Breast Tubule Segmentation in H&E Stained Images

open access: yesIEEE Access
The formation of breast tubules is an important evaluation index in the pathological grading of breast cancer. However, the tubules of breast present a wide variety of morphologies and a significant demonstrated significant advantages in the automatic ...

Voronoi-Delaunay analysis of normal modes in a simple model glass

open access: yes, 1999
We combine a conventional harmonic analysis of vibrations in a one-atomic model glass of soft spheres with a Voronoi-Delaunay geometrical analysis of the structure.

Uncertainty Estimates for Theoretical Atomic and Molecular Data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Sources of uncertainty are reviewed for calculated atomic and molecular data that are important for plasma modeling: atomic and molecular structure and cross sections for electron-atom, electron-molecule, and heavy particle collisions.

2S hyperfine structure of atomic deuterium

open access: yes, 2004
We have measured the frequency splitting between the $(2S, F=1/2)$ and $(2S, F=3/2)$ hyperfine sublevels in atomic deuterium by an optical differential method based on two-photon Doppler-free spectroscopy on a cold atomic beam.

Electronic structure interpolation via atomic orbitals

open access: yes, 2010
We present an efficient scheme for accurate electronic structure interpolations based on the systematically improvable optimized atomic orbitals. The atomic orbitals are generated by minimizing the spillage value between the atomic basis calculations and

High-Resolution Crystal Truncation Rod Scattering: Application to Ultrathin Layers and Buried Interfaces

open access: yes, 2020
In crystalline materials, the presence of surfaces or interfaces gives rise to crystal truncation rods (CTRs) in their X‐ray diffraction patterns. While structural properties related to the bulk of a crystal are contained in the intensity and position of

European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline and EXPeRT Recommendations for the Diagnosis and Management of Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms in Children and Adolescents

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...
