Nanoassembled Model Catalysts: Changing Efficiency and Selectivity Atom-by-Atom

MRS Proceedings, 2000
AbstractCluster-assembled materials open fascinating new routes for tuning physical and chemical properties by changing cluster size and often these materials behave completely differently than their bulk analogues. By depositing gas phase cluster cations on various surfaces, cluster model catalysts are fabricated, which exhibit remarkable catalytic ...

Factors Affecting Selenium Atomization Efficiency in Graphite Furnace Atomic Absorption

Analytical Letters, 1980
Abstract The effect of graphite furnace surface treatment, and the addition of “matrix modifiers” such as nickel or lanthanum on the observed selenium atomization siqnal in electrotherval atomic absorption analysis has been investiqated. The results indicate that the removal of signal depression caused by the addition of metal solution to analyte ...

Atomization Efficiency of Graphite Furnace in Atomic Absorption Spectrometry

Spectroscopy Letters, 1994
Abstract The atomization efficiency of the Hitachi GA-3 graphite furnace for the production and containment of atomic vapour was determined for Ag, Cd, Cr, Ge and In by a method suggested. The method is based on the measurements of residence time, peak hight and peak, area absorbances of analyte atoms.

Graphdiyne Containing Atomically Precise N Atoms for Efficient Anchoring of Lithium Ion

ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, 2018
The qualitative and quantitative nitrogen-doping strategy for carbon materials is reported here. Novel porous nanocarbon networks pyrimidine-graphdiyne (PM-GDY) and pyridine-graphdiyne (PY-GDY) films with large areas were successfully prepared. These films are self-supported, uniform, continuous, flexible, transparent, and quantitively doped with ...

An Efficient Optimistic Atomic Broadcast Algorithm

2006 Fifth International Conference on Grid and Cooperative Computing Workshops, 2006
Atomic Broadcast is a fundamental building block in the construction of fault tolerant distributed applications. Although a number of algorithms have been published, the implementation of such a primitive is still considered costly in terms of communication latency.

Designing Efficient Single Metal Atom Biocatalysts at the Atomic Structure Level

Angewandte Chemie
AbstractVarious nanomaterials as biocatalysts could be custom‐designed and modified to precisely match the specific microenvironment of diseases, showing a promise in achieving effective therapy outcomes. Compared to conventional biocatalysts, single metal atom catalysts (SMACs) with maximized atom utilization through well‐defined structures offer ...

Efficient atomic broadcast using deterministic merge

Proceedings of the nineteenth annual ACM symposium on Principles of distributed computing, 2000
We present an approach for merging message streams from producers distributed over a network, using a deterministic algorithm that is independent of any nondeterminism of the system, such as the amount of time the messages are delayed by the network, or their arrival order.

Dynamic optimization for efficient strong atomicity

Proceedings of the 23rd ACM SIGPLAN conference on Object-oriented programming systems languages and applications, 2008
Transactional memory (TM) is a promising concurrency control alternative to locks. Recent work has highlighted important memory model issues regarding TM semantics and exposed problems in existing TM implementations. For safe, managed languages such as Java, there is a growing consensus towards strong atomicity semantics as a sound, scalable solution ...

[Atomization efficiency of graphite furnace in atomic absorption spectrometry].

Guang pu xue yu guang pu fen xi = Guang pu, 2004
In this paper, the advance of study of atomization efficiency for graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry was reviewed. The fundamental theory and the various calculated equations of atomization efficiency, as well the relationship among beta m, beta i(exp) and beta i(cal) were described.
