This study demonstrates an efficient recycling route for out‐of‐spec AlSi10Mg atomized powders through compaction and arc remelting followed by suction casting. By correlating compaction load, cooling rate, and resulting microstructure, we show that intermediate pressures (50–80 kN) and rapid cooling refine dendrites, reduce porosity, and enhance ...

Study of a cold atom rate-gyroscope
We present the study of an inertial sensor based on matter-wave interferences. This device gives high precision measurement for both rotation rate and acceleration. In contrast with previous analog setups we emphasize on the long term stability and the compactness of the device by the use of laser cooled atoms.

Low‐cycle fatigue damage in Mn–Mo–Ni reactor pressure vessel steel is examined using a combined electron backscatter diffraction and positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy approach. The study correlates texture evolution, dislocation substructure development, and vacancy‐type defect formation across uniform, necked, and fracture regions, providing

Deconvolution for an atomic distribution : rates of convergence
Let X1, . . . ,Xn be i.i.d. copies of a random variable X = Y + Z, where Xi = Yi + Zi, and Yi and Zi are independent and have the same distribution as Y and Z, respectively. Assume that the random variables Yi’s are unobservable and that Y = UV, where U and V are independent, U has a Bernoulli distribution with probability of success equal to 1 - p and

Stabilization of L‐PBF Ni50.7Ti49.3 under low‐cycle loading was investigated. Recoverable strain after cycling was dependent on the amount of applied load. Recovery ratio was 53.4% and 35.1% at intermediate and high load, respectively. The maximum total strain reached 10.3% at a high load of 1200 MPa.

Oxide‐Free Titanium Coatings by Wire Arc Spraying in a Silane‐Doped Inert Atmosphere
A silane‐doped argon atmosphere enables the production of oxide‐free titanium coatings via twin‐wire arc spraying at ambient pressure. This innovative approach eliminates residual oxygen, creating process conditions that prevent oxidation and nitride formation.
