Macroscopic, Histological and Ultrastructural Features of the Tongue of the Anatolian Wild Boar (Sus scrofa libycus)

open access: yesMicroscopy Research and Technique, Volume 89, Issue 10, Page 1244-1255, October 2026.
Integrated macroscopic, histological, and ultrastructural analyses revealed five distinct lingual papillae types (filiform, fungiform, conical, foliate, and vallate) in the Anatolian wild boar (Sus scrofa libycus). Mechanical papillae showed marked structural specialization, while gustatory papillae exhibited region‐specific distribution of taste buds.

Clinical Outcomes of Photobiomodulation Therapy for Inferior Alveolar Nerve Injury: A Retrospective Analysis

open access: yesLasers in Surgery and Medicine, Volume 58, Issue 8, Page 624-636, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives This retrospective study evaluated the clinical outcomes associated with a photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT) protocol in patients with inferior alveolar nerve (IAN) injury following oral and maxillofacial surgery. The study specifically investigated whether the etiology of paresthesia, the time elapsed before treatment initiation ...

Incremental Propensity Score Interventions: A Primer for Pharmacoepidemiologists

open access: yesPharmacoepidemiology and Drug Safety, Volume 35, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Background In observational pharmacoepidemiology, estimating average treatment effects (ATEs) is often challenging due to a lack of practical positivity. In highly selective clinical settings, certain patients almost always or never receive treatment, causing ATE estimators to rely on unstable extrapolation.

Pro‐197 mutations confer resistance to thiencarbazone but not to foramsulfuron in ALS‐resistant Poa annua populations

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 82, Issue 10, Page 10134-10146, October 2026.
Foramsulfuron remains effective on Pro‐197 Poa annua, but co‐formulation with thiencarbazone reduces efficacy due to limited activity and antagonism. Therefore, foramsulfuron + thiencarbazone should be used in fields without ALS‐resistant weeds to ensure effective in‐crop control.

From Flybys to Sample Return: A Review of Space Probes and Robotic Sampling Technologies for Small Bodies

open access: yesJournal of Field Robotics, Volume 43, Issue 7, Page 4475-4514, October 2026.
ABSTRACT As a crucial puzzle piece of deep space exploration, exploring small bodies can provide significant scientific insights and valuable mineral resources. Unlike missions to the Moon and Mars, small‐body missions pose distinct technical challenges, including communication delays, weak gravity, and uncertain environments. This paper reviews a full
