Habitat loss reshuffles ecological and evolutionary interactions in a seed dispersal network

In tropical forests, habitat loss reshapes species composition, favoring generalists and recently emerged lineages while specialists and older evolutionary lineages are lost. However, how changes in species ecological attributes and evolutionary history affect ecological processes is poorly explored.

ABSTRACT Prenatal exome sequencing (ES) can establish rare genetic diagnoses in a fetus but may also lead to occult genetic diagnosis in a biological parent. We present a case of dual fetal and maternal diagnosis by prenatal ES, in a fetus with unexplained anemia and in a pregnant patient with sickle cell disease (SCD) and recurrent unexplained hypoxia.

Pro‐197 mutations confer resistance to thiencarbazone but not to foramsulfuron in ALS‐resistant Poa annua populations

Foramsulfuron remains effective on Pro‐197 Poa annua, but co‐formulation with thiencarbazone reduces efficacy due to limited activity and antagonism. Therefore, foramsulfuron + thiencarbazone should be used in fields without ALS‐resistant weeds to ensure effective in‐crop control.
