KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

The 15-aa Repeat Region of Adenomatous Polyposis Coli: Association with β-catenin and Interplay with Cell Cycle Regulator TopoisomeraseIIα [PDF]
The tumor suppressor Adenomatous polyposis coli (APC) is a large, multi-domain protein with many identified cellular functions. The best characterized role of APC is to scaffold a protein complex that negatively regulates Wnt signaling via β-catenin ...

NKCC1: A key regulator of glioblastoma progression
Glioblastoma (GBM) progression is driven by disrupted chloride cotransporter homeostasis. NKCC1 is highly expressed in stem‐like, astrocytic, and progenitor cells, correlating with earlier recurrence, while overall survival remains unaffected. NKCC1 serves as a prognostic marker and potential therapeutic target, linking chloride transporter imbalance ...

Molecularly imprinted polymeric nanoparticles for the therapeutic drug monitoring of anticancer drugs [PDF]

Decoding Lysine-11 Signals in Ubiquitination [PDF]
The diverse outcomes of ubiquitination primarily relate to the flexibility of ubiquitin in forming homo- or heterotypic chains on each of its seven lysine residues which in turn stimulate distinct downstream signaling pathways.

5‐Aminolevulinic acid combined with ferric ammonium citrate (5‐ALA/FAC) stimulates dermal papilla cell activity and promotes hair follicle growth. The treatment enhances ERK and AKT signaling, increases hair‐inductive gene expression, and restores dermal papilla function suppressed by dihydrotestosterone and oxidative stress, resulting in enhanced hair

In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

The Structural and Functional Roles of Critical Amino Acid Residues in Drosophila Alcohol Dehydrogenase. [PDF]
Alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH, alcohol:NAD oxidoreductase, EC1.1.1.1) from Drosophila melanogaster (DmADH) is unique among alcohol dehydrogenases in metal ion requirement, substrate preference, and stereospecificity of hydride transfer.

This study develops sustainable MgO–C refractories using recycled materials and eco‐friendly fructose–tannin binders. The enhanced performance of citric acid as a cross‐linker and functional additives on mechanical and thermomechanical properties was examined. Characterization included strength tests, immersion trials, and microstructural and inclusion
