Atracurium in the myasthenic patient

Anaesthesia, 1983
SummaryThe use of the new competitive muscle relaxant, atracurium, is described in five myasthenic patients presenting for thymectomy. With an initial dose of 0.1 mg/kg, that is approximately one‐fifth of that normally used, and incremental doses of 0.02–0.04 mg/kg, satisfactory clinical conditions were achieved.

Anaphylaxis incidence with rocuronium, succinylcholine, and atracurium: how risk communication can influence behavior.

Anesthesiology, 2015
To the Editor: Reddy et al.1 studying neuromuscular-blocking drug (NMBD)induced perioperative anaphylaxis concluded that “the rate of anaphylaxis to succinylcholine and rocuronium is approximately 10-fold higher than to atracurium.” However, we believe ...

[Influence of atracurium on cardiovascular parameters in horses undergoing vitrectomy during general anaesthesia, and on recovery duration and quality].

Tierarztliche Praxis. Ausgabe G, Grosstiere/Nutztiere, 2013
OBJECTIVE In most ocular procedures, a central position of the eye is necessary. This can be achieved using a deep plane of anaesthesia, locoregional blocks or with neuromuscular blocking agents.

Chromatographic and Molecular Simulation Study on the ChiralRecognition of Atracurium Besylate Positional Isomers on Cellulose Tri-3, 5 Dimethylphenycarbamate (CDMPC) Column and its Recognition Mechanism

, 2013
A baseline separation was achieved for the direct HPLC separation of atracurium besylate stereoisomers; atracurium trans-trans, atracurium trans-cis, and atracurium cis-cis, on a Cellulose tri- 3, 5-dimethylphenycarbamate (CDMPC) column.
