Residual tembotrione and atrazine in carrot
Journal of Environmental Science and Health, Part B, 2016Carrot (Daucus carota L.) is a vegetable crop that is grown throughout the year across various regions of Brazil in rotation or in succession to other cultures. Herbicide residual effect has emerged as a concern, because of the possibility of carryover.

Modeling the Environmental Fate of Atrazine
SAR and QSAR in Environmental Research, 1997Mathematical simulation models of fate and transport of chemicals have been identified by researchers and regulators as potentially valuable tools for improving the understanding of the environmental behavior of chemicals which may be released to the environment as a consequence of routine (i.e., normal manufacturing, use, disposal) and non-routine (e ...

Human exposure to atrazine and other triazine herbicides results in urinary excretion of traces of parent compounds and of their metabolites formed by N-dealkylation or conjugation with mercapturic acid. In contrast to N-dealkylated metabolites, which are not compound-specific, the measurement of atrazine mercapturate and unchanged atrazine provides an

The toxic effects of the herbicide Atrazine, its degradation products deethyl-atrazine and deisopropylatrazine, and the herbicide metolachlor were examined in unialgal cultures of Chlorella fusca var-fusca. The toxicity of a mixture of atrazine and metolachlor was also evaluated using the same bioassay system.

Atrazine Retention and Transport in Soils
1996No pesticide has been studied as extensively as atrazine. The study of atrazine has contributed to our general understanding of the behavior of pesticides in soils. New knowledge and concepts were evaluated, such as atrazine adsorption kinetics, desorption hysteresis, and preferential flow.
