Right Juxtaposition of the Atrial Appendages
Chest, 1975We present an infant with right-sided juxtaposition of atrial appendages who had open heart surgery for ventricular septal defect and patent ductus arteriosus. Of 12 cases thus far reported, ventricular d-loop was observed in nine, and normal position of great vessels in four.

Aneurysm of the left atrial appendage
The Annals of Thoracic Surgery, 2002We present the case of a 33-year-old woman with atrial tachyarrhythmias and chest pain. The transthoracic echocardiography demonstrated an intrapericardial liquid mass confirmed as an aneurysm of the left atrial appendage by a nuclear magnetic imaging study.
