Treatment options for immune‐related adverse events associated with immune checkpoint inhibitors

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract The immunotherapy revolution with the use of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) started with the clinical use of the first ICI, ipilimumab, in 2011. Since then, the field of ICI therapy has rapidly expanded — with the FDA approval of 10 different ICI drugs so far and their incorporation into the therapeutic regimens of a range of malignancies.

Safety and effectiveness of fingolimod in Japanese patients with multiple sclerosis: Results of a post‐marketing surveillance study

open access: yesClinical and Experimental Neuroimmunology, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective Fingolimod is the first oral sphingosine‐1‐phosphate receptor modulator approved in Japan for multiple sclerosis (MS). A large Japanese observational study of fingolimod in patients with MS was carried out to support its safety and effectiveness in a real‐world setting.

Block Sparse Bayesian Learning: A Diversified Scheme [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
This paper introduces a novel prior called Diversified Block Sparse Prior to characterize the widespread block sparsity phenomenon in real-world data. By allowing diversification on intra-block variance and inter-block correlation matrices, we effectively address the sensitivity issue of existing block sparse learning methods to pre-defined block ...

Genotype–Phenotype Correlations, Treatment, and Prognosis of Children With Early‐Onset (Neonatal) Marfan Syndrome

open access: yesClinical Genetics, EarlyView.
Early‐onset Marfan syndrome (eoMFS) is a rare disorder with atrioventricular valve insufficiency being the most severe symptom. We propose to regard eoMFS as a spectrum, ranging from a severe disorder life‐threatening already before or immediately after birth, to a disorder with a better survival rate, creating a window for atrioventricular valve ...

Right ventricular strain and tricuspid annular plane systolic excursion are associated with mortality in inferior ST‐elevation myocardial infarction

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Clinical Investigation, EarlyView.
The right ventricular longitudinal strain, right ventricular free wall strain and the tricuspid annular plane systolic excursion are associated with all‐cause mortality in patients with acute inferior ST‐segment elevation myocardial infarction.
