Serious outcomes among emergency department patients with presyncope: A systematic review

open access: yesAcademic Emergency Medicine, Volume 33, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract Background Syncope is transient loss of consciousness, and in presyncope, patients experience same prodromal symptoms without losing consciousness. While studies have extensively reported the risk of serious outcome among emergency department (ED) syncope, the outcome for patients with presyncope and their management are not well studied.

Outcomes of Supraclavicular Access in Temporary Pacemaker Implantation

open access: yesAnnals of Noninvasive Electrocardiology, Volume 31, Issue 1, January 2026.
This study compared supraclavicular versus infraclavicular venous access for temporary pacemaker implantation in 3569 patients. Supraclavicular access showed fewer complications, higher first‐attempt success, shorter procedure time, and improved complication‐free survival.

Safety and Efficacy of Aveir Leadless Pacemaker in Chinese Patients

open access: yesAnnals of Noninvasive Electrocardiology, Volume 31, Issue 1, January 2026.
The application of Aveir, as a newly approved leadless pacemaker (LP), in the Chinese population remains limited. This retrospective study aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the Aveir LP in Chinese patients. ABSTRACT Background Aveir, as a newly approved leadless pacemaker (LP), has been increasingly adopted in clinical practice. However, its

Analysis of Diagnostic Clues in a Rare Case of Ventricular Preexcitation Masking Occlusive Myocardial Infarction of the Left Anterior Descending Artery

open access: yesAnnals of Noninvasive Electrocardiology, Volume 31, Issue 1, January 2026.
This case report describes a potential electrocardiographic manifestation of ventricular pre‐excitation concealing a typical ST‐segment elevation myocardial infarction and provides a systematic analysis of the underlying pathophysiological mechanisms.

Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction and Incident Cardiac Conduction Dysfunction: Exploring the Mediating Effects of Electrophysiological Parameters

open access: yesAnnals of Noninvasive Electrocardiology, Volume 31, Issue 1, January 2026.
Left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and incident cardiac conduction dysfunction (CCD). Models were adjusted for age, waist‐to‐hip ratio, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, ischemic heart diseases, atrial fibrillation, left ventricular myocardial mass, left ventricular end‐diastolic volume, PQ interval, QRS duration and corrected QT interval ...
