Clinical and electrophysiological characteristics in patients with atrioventricular reentrant and atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia [PDF]

open access: yesEuropace, 2003
To compare clinical, electrophysiological characteristics and transcatheter ablation results between two groups of patients, one with atrioventricular reentrant tachycardia (AVRT) and the other with atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia (AVNRT).The study population consisted of 94 consecutive patients who underwent endocavitary ...

Radiofrequency Catheter Ablation of Atrioventricular Nodal Reentrant Tachycardia: It Is Not Always As It Is Expected [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Observation of Coincident arrhythmias is not uncommon but the co-existence of idiopathic verapamil sensitive left ventricular tachycardia (ILVT) with other arrhythmias is very rare.

Successful Termination of Slow Atrial Tachycardia With 1:1 Atrioventricular Conduction Using a Pacemaker Atrial Antitachycardia Pacing Algorithm

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 4, August 2026.
A transvenous dual‐chamber pacemaker successfully terminated relatively slow atrial tachycardia with 1:1 atrioventricular conduction using atrial antitachycardia pacing after unsuccessful catheter ablation in a patient with complex congenital heart disease.

The Electrophysiology Experience in Patients With Ebstein's Anomaly Undergoing the da Silva Cone Repair at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, Volume 37, Issue 7, Page 1442-1449, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction The da Silva Cone repair (CR) has demonstrated to be an effective intervention for Ebstein's anomaly (EA). Perioperative management can be complicated by arrhythmias, but previous studies showed improvement with preoperative catheter and intraoperative surgical ablation.

Para‐Hisian Extra Pacing Enables Unmasking of Hidden Slow Retrograde Conduction

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 3, June 2026.
In the presence of dual retrograde pathways, conventional Para‐Hisian pacing may fail to reveal the slow pathway, likely due to masking by fast retrograde conduction. In such cases, Para‐Hisian extra pacing—combining programmed right ventricular stimulation with differential His bundle capture—enables assessment of the slow retrograde conduction.

AVNRT complicated by Valsalva-exacerbated radial pulsation artifacts mimicking acute ischemia: a case report

open access: yesFrontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine
Atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia (AVNRT), the most common supraventricular tachycardia, occasionally present with transient ST-T changes mimicking ischemia, posing diagnostic challenges for patients.

Channel and Spatial Parallel Attention for ECG‐Based Prediction of Concealed Accessory Pathways and Atrioventricular Nodal Reentry Tachycardia

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, Volume 42, Issue 3, June 2026.
CSPANet, a deep learning model with channel and spatial parallel attention, distinguishes concealed accessory pathways and atrioventricular nodal reentry tachycardia from sinus‐rhythm ECGs with 92.6% accuracy. This novel approach facilitates optimized ablation planning and enhances procedural safety, addressing a key diagnostic gap in arrhythmia ...

Force‐Sensing Catheters During Pediatric Radiofrequency Ablation: The FEDERATION Study

open access: yesJournal of the American Heart Association: Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease, 2017
Background Based on data from studies of atrial fibrillation ablations, optimal parameters for the TactiCath (TC; St. Jude Medical, Inc) force‐sensing ablation catheter are a contact force of 20 g and a force‐time integral of 400 g·s for the creation of ...
