Mesothelioma of the atrioventricular node. [PDF]

open access: yesHeart, 1985
A patient with Mobitz type 2 heart block caused by a mesothelioma of the atrioventricular node died of a subarachnoid haemorrhage at the age of 33 two years after implantation of a permanent pacemaker. Mesothelioma of the atrioventricular node is rare, and reported cases have all been diagnosed post mortem.

Role of nitric oxide on the electrophysiological properties of isolated rabbit atrioventricular node by extracellular field potential during atrial fibrillation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Introduction: The aim of the present study was to determine direct effects of NO modulation on protective electrophysiological properties of atrioventricular node (AV node) in the experimental model of AF in rabbit.

Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Radiofrequency Slow Pathway Ablation for Atrioventricular Nodal Re‐Entrant Tachycardia: Late Outcomes

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Slow pathway radiofrequency ablation is an effective treatment for atrioventricular nodal re‐entrant tachycardia (AVNRT) but has been reported in some series to result in late atrioventricular block. We examined our local experience with a retrospective review. Methods A retrospective review of all patients undergoing slow pathway

Complete atrioventricular block during neonatal intubation: a case report

open access: yesResuscitation Plus
Preterm infants often experience side effects from intubation. Desaturation and sinus bradycardia are frequent. Atropine as premedication mitigates these risks. We report the occurrence of severe bradycardia related to atrioventricular block during ...

Atriofascicular Mahaim with Ebstein anomaly: A case report

open access: yesJournal of Arrhythmia, 2017
We report a case of a 7-year-old girl with atriofascicular Mahaim (AFM) pathway concomitant with Ebstein's anomaly. The QRS wave showed left bundle branch block pattern on electrocardiogram. Holter electrocardiogram showed prolongation of the PR interval

Radiofrequency Catheter Ablation of Atrioventricular Nodal Reentrant Tachycardia: It Is Not Always As It Is Expected [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Observation of Coincident arrhythmias is not uncommon but the co-existence of idiopathic verapamil sensitive left ventricular tachycardia (ILVT) with other arrhythmias is very rare.
