Analysis of Maximum Likelihood and Mahalanobis Distance for Identifying Cheating Anchor Nodes [PDF]
Malicious anchor nodes will constantly hinder genuine and appropriate localization. Discovering the malicious or vulnerable anchor node is an essential problem in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). In wireless sensor networks, anchor nodes are the nodes that know its current location.

Catheter ablation was attempted in 2 patients with atrioventricular node reentry tachycardia which showed fast, intermediate and slow anterograde atrioventricular node pathways. Radiofrequency currents were applied within a restricted area of the tricuspid annulus between the His bundle and the ostium of the coronary sinus where presumed slow pathway ...

ABSTRACT The goal of a cardiac pulsed field ablation (PFA) system is to provide safe, effective, and usable therapy for the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. Achieving this goal is a complex exercise in system design, requiring optimization of catheter, waveform, and dosing. This optimization is often iterative, as myriad design factors are balanced to

Mesothelioma in the Atrioventricular Node. Case Report.
A patient with complete atrioventricular block and an implanted permanent pacemaker died of colon cancer at the age of 64 years. At autopsy, a cardiac tumor in the region of the atrioventricular node (mesothelioma of the atrioventricular node) was found. The origin of this type of tumor is controversial.

ABSTRACT Introduction Right bundle branch block (RBBB) following cardiac device extraction has not been previously reported but may have catastrophic consequences. Methods and Results We present two cases of young male patients who developed RBBB following the extraction of single chamber TV ICD systems where the coil was adherent close to the superior

Dual network structure of the AV node [PDF]
Biological systems, particularly the brain, are frequently analyzed as networks, conveying mechanistic insights into their function and pathophysiology. This is the first study of a functional network of cardiac tissue. We use calcium imaging to obtain two functional networks in a subsidiary but essential pacemaker of the heart, the atrioventricular ...

Characterization of Driver Nodes of Anti-Stable Networks [PDF]
A controllable network can be driven from any initial state to any desired state using driver nodes. A set of driver nodes to control a network is not unique. It is important to characterize these driver nodes and select the right driver nodes. The work discusses theory and algorithms to select driver node such that largest region of attraction can be ...

Abstract The common hippopotamus (Hippopotamus amphibius) shares a common terrestrial ancestor with whales (Cetacea) and has independently evolved similar physiological adaptations to their aquatic lifestyle. Although several studies have explored the electrical signalling in whale hearts, the understanding of the conduction system and electrical ...
