Familial Atrioventricular Nodal Reentry Tachycardia

Pacing and Clinical Electrophysiology, 2004
Dual atrioventricular nodal pathways, the substrate responsible for atrioventricular node reentry tachycardia (AVNRT), are thought to be randomly occurring congenital anomalies. This article describes 14 patients in six families, each with two or three first‐degree relatives with paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia.

Polymorphous Ventricular Tachycardia and Atrioventricular Block

Pacing and Clinical Electrophysiology, 1986
Nine patients are presented who had polymorphous ventricular tachycardia (PMVT) occurring during alrioventricular (AV) block. There were five men and four women with a mean age of 80 ± 9 years. Five patients had organic heart disease and the remaining four had primary conduction disease (bundle branch block). AV block was complete in four patients (2:1

Atrioventricular Nodal Reentrant Tachycardia in Children

Pediatric Cardiology, 2006
The purpose of this study was to identify the clinical and electrophysiological characteristics of children with atrioventricular reentry tachycardia (AVNRT) and to define the prognosis and the treatment strategy. Sixty-two children (28 males and 34 females mean age, 10.2 +/- 3.2 years) with AVNRT ("slow-fast" type) were included in the study. Patients

Double Atrial and Atrioventricular Junctional Tachycardia

New England Journal of Medicine, 1972
CASES of double tachycardia (DT) have been infrequently reported.1 2 3 4 The association with digitalis toxicity and a poor prognosis are known. This rhythm is not rare in certain clinical settings, and, furthermore, proper diagnosis has an important bearing on patient survival.

[Atrioventricular nodal tachycardia].

Archives des maladies du coeur et des vaisseaux, 1995
The atrioventricular junction consists of the atrioventricular node and the bundle of His up to its division. All tachycardias arising in these structures or which depend on these structures for their sustenance are called "junctional". There are four main types. The first three correspond to reciprocating rhythms, nodal tachycardia, tachycardias using

Atrioventricular Junctional Tachycardias

2004
Some basic mechanisms of atrioventricular (AV) junctional tachycardias are presented in this section At a Glance. Why? For AV nodal reentrant tachycardia the enormous progress in electrophysiology and therapy of arrhythmias can be illustrated in an exemplary manner.
