Atrioventricular junctional tachycardias

2016
Atrioventricular junctional tachycardias comprise atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia and non-reentrant junctional tachycardias, such as non-paroxysmal junctional tachycardia, focal junctional tachycardia, and non-reentrant atrioventricular nodal tachycardia. Mechanisms, differential diagnosis, and therapy are discussed.

Late onset atrioventricular nodal tachycardia

International Journal of Cardiology, 1993
AV nodal tachycardia may present at any age, but onset in late adulthood is considered uncommon. To evaluate whether onset of AV nodal tachycardias at older age is related to organic heart disease (possibly setting the stage for re-entry due to degenerative structural changes) 32 consecutive patients with symptomatic AV nodal tachycardia were studied ...

Atrioventricular reentrant tachycardias

2016
Atrioventricular reentrant tachycardias are due to accessory atrioventricular pathways that may be overt (i.e. Wolff–Parkinson–White syndrome) or concealed. Diagnosis and indications for catheter ablation are presented.

Atrial Tachycardia Mimicking Atrioventricular Nodal Reentry Tachycardia

The Journal of Emergency Medicine, 2013
The term supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) is used to describe tachydysrhythmias that require atrial or atrioventricular nodal tissue for their initiation and maintenance. SVT can be used to describe atrioventricular nodal reentry tachycardia, atrioventricular reentry tachycardia, and atrial tachycardia (AT).

Paroxysmal atrial tachycardia with atrioventricular block∗

The American Journal of Cardiology, 1958
Abstract 1. (1) During a four year period in which over 16,000 electrocardiograms were reviewed, 40 episodes of atrial tachycardia with block occurring in 39 patients were encountered. Fifty instances of supraventricular tachycardia with normal A-V conduction occurred during the same period. 2.

Familial Atrioventricular Nodal Reentry Tachycardia

Pacing and Clinical Electrophysiology, 2004
Dual atrioventricular nodal pathways, the substrate responsible for atrioventricular node reentry tachycardia (AVNRT), are thought to be randomly occurring congenital anomalies. This article describes 14 patients in six families, each with two or three first‐degree relatives with paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia.

Polymorphous Ventricular Tachycardia and Atrioventricular Block

Pacing and Clinical Electrophysiology, 1986
Nine patients are presented who had polymorphous ventricular tachycardia (PMVT) occurring during alrioventricular (AV) block. There were five men and four women with a mean age of 80 ± 9 years. Five patients had organic heart disease and the remaining four had primary conduction disease (bundle branch block). AV block was complete in four patients (2:1

Persistent atrial tachycardia with atrioventricular block

The American Journal of Medicine, 1958
Abstract 1.1. A case history is presented of a patient in whom atrial tachycardia with atrioventricular block has persisted for a period of six months. 2.2. The case serves to emphasize the importance of determining the role of digitalis in the etiology of this arrhythmia, and illustrates the beneficiai therapeutic effect of digitalis ...

Atrioventricular Reentry Tachycardia

2015
Supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) is the most common tachyarrhythmia in children, occurring in as many as 1–3 in 2,000 children. Of these, 90 % involve a reentrant circuit (Chap. 3) including atrioventricular (AV) reentrant tachycardia (AVRT), AV node reentrant tachycardia (AVNRT, Chap. 5), or persistent junctional reciprocal tachycardia (Chap.

Double Atrial and Atrioventricular Junctional Tachycardia

New England Journal of Medicine, 1972
CASES of double tachycardia (DT) have been infrequently reported.1 2 3 4 The association with digitalis toxicity and a poor prognosis are known. This rhythm is not rare in certain clinical settings, and, furthermore, proper diagnosis has an important bearing on patient survival.
