Investigation of dynamics of roll forming processes

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
This article contains the analysis of tube expander dynamics in complex interaction of structural elements of heat-exchange tubes attachment assembly in the process of roll-forming operation, description of dynamic process theoretical aspect. It is shown

Emotion-focused therapy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Emotion-focused therapy (EFT), also known as process-experiential therapy, integrates active therapeutic methods from gestalt and other humanistic therapies within the frame of a person-centred relationship (Elliott, Watson, Goldman & Greenberg, 2004 ...

Simulation of beam-induced plasma in gas-filled rf cavities

open access: yes, 2017
Processes occurring in a radio-frequency (rf) cavity, filled with high pressure gas and interacting with proton beams, have been studied via advanced numerical simulations. Simulations support the experimental program on the hydrogen gas-filled rf cavity

YAP1::TFE3 mediates endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal plasticity in epithelioid hemangioendothelioma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The YAP1::TFE3 fusion protein drives endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EndMT) plasticity, resulting in the loss of endothelial characteristics and gain of mesenchymal‐like properties, including resistance to anoikis, increased migratory capacity, and loss of contact growth inhibition in endothelial cells.

Unresolved Trauma in Mothers: Intergenerational Effects and the Role of Reorganization

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2014
A mother’s unresolved trauma may interfere with her ability to sensitively respond to her infant, thus affecting the development of attachment in her own child, and potentially contributing to the intergenerational transmission of trauma.

Degree Distribution of Competition-Induced Preferential Attachment Graphs

open access: yes, 2005
We introduce a family of one-dimensional geometric growth models, constructed iteratively by locally optimizing the tradeoffs between two competing metrics, and show that this family is equivalent to a family of preferential attachment random graph ...

Ultrafast dynamics of low-energy electron attachment via a non-valence correlation-bound state.

open access: yesNature Chemistry, 2018
The primary electron-attachment process in electron-driven chemistry represents one of the most fundamental chemical transformations with wide-ranging importance in science and technology.

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

The Directed Closure Process in Hybrid Social-Information Networks, with an Analysis of Link Formation on Twitter [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
It has often been taken as a working assumption that directed links in information networks are frequently formed by "short-cutting" a two-step path between the source and the destination -- a kind of implicit "link copying" analogous to the process of ...

The effect of detachment and attachment to a kink motion in the asymmetric simple exclusion process

open access: yes, 2006
We study the dynamics of a kink in a one-lane asymmetric simple exclusion process with detachment and attachment of the particle at arbitrary sites. For a system with one site of detachment and attachment we find that the kink is trapped by the site, and
