The attachment styles of stalkers
Journal of Forensic Psychiatry & Psychology, 2004This study measured stalkers' retrospective childhood attachment and current adult attachment using two self-report measures. The three groups were: 21 stalkers detained under the Mental Health Act (1983) under conditions of security; 24 people detained in the same way but with no history of stalking; and an ad-hoc community sample of 33.

Attachment style and somatization
2010The effect of attachment style on emotional awareness and somatization was examined using both self-report and implicit measures of negative affect. Attachment style and alexithymia were found play important roles in predicting the severity of somatic complaints independent of other indicators of negative affect.
