A Novel Approach for Attack Tree to Attack Graph Transformation
Attack trees and attack graphs are both common graphical threat models used by organizations to better understand possible cybersecurity threats. These models have been primarily seen as separate entities, to be used and researched in entirely different contexts, but recently there has emerged a new interest in combining the strengths of these models ...

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Attack Graph to Graph Database
Databases are an integral part of almost any computing system today, and users heavily rely on the services they provide. When we interact with a computing system, we expect that any data be stored for future use, that the data is able to be looked up quickly, and that we can perform complex queries against the data stored in the database.

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Impact estimation using data flows over attack graphs [PDF]
We propose a novel approach to estimating the impact of an attack using a data model and an impact model on top of an attack graph. The data model describes how data flows between nodes in the network -- how it is copied and processed by softwares and ...

Poster: Clean-label Backdoor Attack on Graph Neural Networks
Graph Neural Networks (GNNs) have achieved impressive results in various graph learning tasks. They have found their way into many applications, such as fraud detection, molecular property prediction, or knowledge graph reasoning. However, GNNs have been

CLB-Defense: based on contrastive learning defense for graph neural network against backdoor attack
For the problem that the existing backdoor attack defense methods are difficult to deal with irregular and unstructured discrete graph data to alleviate the threat of backdoor attacks, a backdoor attack defense method for GNN based on contrastive ...

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

Managing Attack Graph Complexity through Visual Hierarchical Aggregation
We describe a framework for managing network attack graph complexity through interactive visualization, which includes hierarchical aggregation of graph elements.

Graph design for data authentication over insecure communication channel
Data authentication is a critical issue in communication systems. Based on data authentication techniques, the receiver can affirm that the data is really sent from an authentic sender and it is not a fabricated message from an opponent.
