Breastfeeding: The Knowledge and Attitudes of some Health Personnel in Metropolitan Manila

Journal of Tropical Pediatrics, 1980
100 city health and 51 school personnel were interviewed in 1975 to determine their knowledge and attitude toward breastfeeding. Most of the respondents were female with a median age of 28.5 and a mean parity of 0.8 children for nurses and a corresponding 37.4 years and 2.2 children for doctors.

Health personnel has been thought to pay too little attention to alcohol-related problems. Knowledge, attitudes and beliefs related to alcohol were studied among 225 physicians, 296 nurses, and 279 clerical employees. Knowledge scores were constructed by giving one point for every correct answer.
